@Meha5 I was thinking about BT as you get tv channels with them. If you don't mind me asking, what is the cost like?

Is everyone getting threads through on here? Don't know if I will see replies as my last comment disappeared along with lots of others?

Gally123 · 18/11/2020 20:19

I thought something was odd as I had email notification of a comment earlier today but when I looked there was nothing new.

Chrissols · 19/11/2020 17:49

Things seem to be quite busy lately, is that why it's so quiet on here?

OP posts:
Whitestar5 · 20/11/2020 16:56

Yes there's more work, but the standard of the dictation is pretty awful generally.

Chrissols · 23/11/2020 10:47

No work today

danblack87 · 23/11/2020 12:58

Work is there for me but dictation is not very good so I am passing on a fair few Sad. Just not got the mojo today!!!!

Chrissols · 23/11/2020 13:15

@danblack87 I know what you mean, some days it's more of a struggle when the dictation is so bad

OP posts:
Gally123 · 23/11/2020 13:45

@danblack - I found it was like that most of last week as well - big gaps with nothing and then when something appeared it was so poor that I passed on most as well. Don't think the cold weather helps!

Meha5 · 24/11/2020 09:55

Agree with everyone the dictation is dreadful, this obviously holds everything up for the patients !! I wonder why these doctors are not being informed of their dictation is not up to standard ??? they use to be !!!

Chrissols · 24/11/2020 10:29

I have just submitted a task with the most notes I have ever added - the dictation was impossible

OP posts:
Gally123 · 24/11/2020 10:33

I think the trouble is there is so little dictation available that the rotten stuff does not hang around for days like it used to.

danblack87 · 24/11/2020 11:38

Slow but steady today so no complaints ...

alikat55 · 24/11/2020 17:25

Not been too bad today - managed to keep steadily going this afternoon and for once the dictation was good Smile

Chrissols · 25/11/2020 14:32

Very quiet today....

I have had a better day.

@Chrissols - I meant to ask you, how did you and your other half get on with the flying to Greece, immigration and mobile phones etc. Did you find they were essential? My family have been nagging me again about getting one. Thanks.

Chrissols · 25/11/2020 15:22

@Gally123 we only needed the one phone between us but would have struggled without one at all due to the passenger locator forms which are essential at the moment. They only send the code by email after midnight on the day you are flying, we had to be at the airport at 3.00am so could not be at home to print the forms off, hence we had to show them on the phone. Having said that, if this vaccine is out soon we may not need the passenger locator forms, in which case it will be fine without a phone......does all that make sense.....

OP posts:
Gally123 · 25/11/2020 15:30

@Chrissols - thanks, yes that made sense, although I suspect that some countries who always had immigration forms may not revert to paper ones. I am hoping to travel next year, even if not very far.

Chrissols · 25/11/2020 15:36

@Gally123 the passenger locator forms are not immigration forms, they are in case anyone tests positive for covid on your plane/in your hotel etc, so they know exactly where to reach you both home and abroad. Once covid is out of the equation then these forms will no longer be used (hopefully very soon)

OP posts:
Chrissols · 25/11/2020 15:38

@Gally123 They also tested one out of very party/couple for covid on arrival in Greece, so having to mess with my phone was quite lucky for me as they tested my other half to let me find the forms lol.......

OP posts:
Gally123 · 25/11/2020 16:05

@Chrissols - thanks for clarifying. Although I suspect COVID will be around for some time in some countries, although hopefully not the ones we want to go for holidays! But people will move around!

danblack87 · 26/11/2020 15:48

Rubbish day for me today - not all because of Dict8 I might add Sad.

Whitestar5 · 26/11/2020 16:38

The proofreaders seem to have been quiet, I wonder if they are transcribing instead at the moment?

Meha5 · 27/11/2020 10:18

@danblack87 - hope your ok

danblack87 · 27/11/2020 10:49

@Meha5: I am okay - just seem to have lost Mojo at the moment. I type to keep my mind off things; miss my dad, COVID is a B*h - we are in Tier 3. Daughter's having partner trouble and she and my grand-daughter have stayed a couple of nights. Means I cannot really get going the next morning!!! Otherwise, everything is absolutely dandy Confused and pretty p'd off. Hey ho I'll get over it Blush Grin
