No. The hospital clearly didn't give assurances that it would not be pushed for the woman to be treated by Dr Upton.

This is not 'transwoman has a job' this is 'hospital will not agree to single sex care' or similar.

This type of mentality unfortunately means they will always be at the centre of trouble and drama. Some people are just like tgat, always have to be pushing at borders, transgressing, having some sort of row over something ongoing at any given time. I have some family members like this and its a tupe of personality disorder imo.

Women should not be forced to feel obliged to recognise someone's gender feelings in order to access medical treatment. Any decent doctor would recognize this.

Sadly the hospital is right. Since Australian law changed to substitute gender for sex he can do what the hell he likes and the courts will sanction it. I suspect it gives him a tremendous feeling of power. I’m glad that woman patient had her husband to protect her but fear that others will not be so fortunate.

Correct. In fact Beth/Lis might make a complaint about the patient to the anti discrimination commission and have the patient punished. Set an example to future patients who might dare to say no to him.

He didn't do "absolutely nothing" last time. He insisted on changing in a female changing room where his male genitals were obvious in his underpants and waited while women changed, asking them why they weren't getting on with changing.

When women requested a female doctor he came forward to treat them. And that's what he's doing again.

Do you really believe women have no right to request to be treated by a doctor who does not have a penis and testicles?

You want an intimate examination done by someone who doesn't have a penis and testicles and a person with a penis and testicles can insist on treating you and the hospital can threaten you with prosecution if you protest about it.
