The Green Party and the word ‘female’

Omnicause veteran Eli Folan (who tweets as Stats for Lefties) has been elected to the Green Party’s governing council. Eli, as they tell us twice, is a ‘female’ rep. I don’t know whether this phrasing is the Green’s or is Eli’s special contribution.

He/him - he's a man.

My bad - he !

If the Greens have their way, nobody will be allowed to discuss issues like this. They're very keen on muzzling the Press - not surprising given the number of scandals they get involved in, but chilling nonetheless:

Accidentally posted this earlier on the wrong thread if you think you've seen it before 😁

Not a factory with a standardised product, artisan workshop and individually crafted is my estimate. They each have their own ways of weirdness.
In a year or two there may be a Bangers & Cash method of valuing them as collectors items. A bit like old Hippies or old socialist Grandpas on allotments.

I think you're being too kind with your artisan workshop - I see the factory as more of a home-based outfit from someone's front room where the artist (I use the term loosely) produces such delights as this (complete with fag ash and Savers beer stains), and then tries to flog them on eBay for a laughable sum.

Wasn't there a similar political party in 1930s Germany that also had a problem with equality for women and Jews?

No, I thought they were quite interested in environmental policies.

She doesn't want to shout that out too loud or someone (not necessarily a Zionist but just someone who wants a scrap) will arrange it for her 🙄

He's a man.

Depressingly not a single mention of the environment or climate change.

That’s why I don’t bother with them anymore

We desperately bloody need an environmental party.

Instead, we get Baggy Khan in his Lamborghinis and this ridiculous chap with his welcoming 'hatred' and culturally appropriated Inshallahs. Policies about gender and Gaza, absurd and irrelevant to UK and Green issues.

I hope the party either implodes completely or allows those who created it get back to the founding principles without the hangers-on who have clearly taken over the party for their own ends, which have nothing whatsoever to do with the environment.

SwirlyGates · Today 09:57

So does he think he is a member of the Green Party or of Hamas? I can't tell.

MarieDeGournay · Today 09:59

It really does read like satire - Dave Spart in Private Eye, as somebody suggested.

Since it isn't satire, is reflects a nasty and perhaps disturbed mind. It's bad enough that somebody who thinks like that exists, but that they are a representative in a national political party - that's scary.

'feral Zionist press' is particularly evocative, isn't it? As dehumanising as it is inaccurate.

OneJustPinkAnt · Today 09:59

Surely the vast majority of the comments and tweets being made by this man and his ilk are incitement to violence and therefore illegal?

As ArabellaScott said the green party can't be far off being a proscribed organisation.

BackToLurk · Today 10:01

Thank you for that.

This sentiment "her Labour colleagues told her they were glad to see the back of Alli and that he left before he was forced out", is one I see a lot in Labour groups as members track the next Corbyn Labour > Your Party> Greens traveller to pop up.

I wonder are what point The Green Party should be proscribed.

At this rate of moment into hate speech, terrorist crossplay and sometimes violent activity from supporters we are probably only around 6 months before that will a possibility

Sorry, but the Iranian flag...that little emblem in the middle looks like a bat in a polo neck and a false moustache.

Is insanity a spectrum because this repulsive individual is on the straight jacket end.
Who would vote for this piece of crap?

ScarlettOYara · Today 10:34

A proud anti Zionist trans woman?
How long does this person think they would last in Palestine? Seriously.

ScarlettOYara · Today 10:38

SirChenjins · Today 08:19

Is there a factory somewhere that churns out these male fruit loops? Anyone who votes Green needs to give themselves a shake - this party has nothing to do with the environment now.

What on earth has happened to the Green Party? Seriously? Didn't they used to be sincere people concerned about the environment and climate change?

MarieDeGournay · Today 11:16

'Glory to the Iranian resistance' - I hope he spoke up just as strongly in support of the Women Life Freedom movement, inspired by Mahsa Amini, who died after being arrested by the morality police in 2022, not for not covering her head, but for not covering her head correctly.

We have Greens as our local council. It's fucking pathetic. Nothing on education, local issues, SEN disasterouls situation at schools, elderly care, crime - nothing. But - very vocal on Pelestine and Trans issues. Protests with Palestinian flags galore. In the meantime, our rubbish is not being collected, broken doors are not being repaired and post is not being delivered (our local council is our landlord). I despair as I'm sure they were elected in good faith - but they are more than useless.

localnotail · Today 11:22

LuckyHazelFox · Today 08:25

Standout line for me: I know there will be zionists reading this who will be utterly furious that I won. I welcome their hatred.

Zionists are literally those who support formation and existence of the state of Israel. So this person basically calling for the destruction of Israel as a country (and I assume subsequent erasure of all the inhabitants?) How the fuck this even allowed, surely this is hate speech?

Green party in Scotland really have the most important topics at the forefront of their policies.
Today one of their MSPs is calling for the the Scottish morning roll to have protected status. However, not clear if they are talking about a proper Glasgow roll or what purports to be a morning roll in Edinburgh.
