Tempest (a TW) is claiming discrimination, harassment and/or victimisation on grounds of gender reassignment. Central to the claim is the existence of the Sex Equality and Equity Network in the Civil Service (SEEN). SEEN has been granted right to intervene. Parts of the original claim against the co-chair of SEEN (Elspeth Duemmer-Wrigley) and another party (Andreas Mueller) were struck out or narrowed. Another claimant, PQ, is no longer part of the case.

I will also note that Elspeth still has a garden in need of seeds and water to support the ability of SEEN to be an intervenor in this case. The claim originated because she said "only women menstruate" and a search with her name and those terms at the usual gardening website should point you to her plot.

I merely replicated the requestees spelling when asked to make a sign last year.

"Hi **, pls could you do a picture of a sign that says "Do not engage with the interruptaron"

You are LITERALLY denying the existence of the T!

The ET decision was published on 14 January. They would have needed to complete OPD's (temporarily suspended) grievance at that point, but their internal policy requires them to appoint an investigator promptly, and the I has 4 weeks + 5 working days to produce a report.

It is now nearly 6 months on. And this is the NHS body that has had the same OPD and HR managers dragged before the same employment judge twice in the last few years. If they have to go to court for a THIRD time, we should hire a fleet of Mumsnet coaches and queue early for the best seats in court.

I was permanently blocked after my very first post.

Me too and it was perfectly polite.

I’m not sure debate or engagement is actually helpful. Reading other points of view is great, and I’m profoundly grateful for all the different things written on Uk trans Reddit, but I doubt anyone is persuaded in either direction by this sort of angry back-back-and-forth.

Wow. Well, ST has said the quiet part out loud very clearly now. Several times.

Judge seems to clearly grasp the issues from his clarifying questions. I actually didn’t disagree when he moved NC on a couple of times, but I think as a general pattern the amount of direction he’s giving NC is concerning.

I am looking forward to ED tomorrow. She has been emotionally incontinent in court so far as an observer, so it seems likely there will be tears at some point and I want to see how the judge reacts to that compared to ST.

Just caught up again. Today was a difficult read, can't imagine listening, or worse being in the room. To counter the depressing realisation that the civil service is overrun with lanyard warriors and the lanyard oppressed I have ordered a copy of MBIM aka the terrorist manual and planted another batch of carrots for Elspeth.

I'm not looking forward to tomorrow morning. My crazy bucket is full and I must watch.

Absolutely. Then we also had the government Pride event at Downing Street. I genuinely thought the whole thing was a parody from Olivia Long Bailey to KS and their quips about hair fashion and gayness.

How embarrassing to excellent civil servants who just want to do their jobs and go home. Why is everything now having to be ‘brought to work’.

I have always been tolerant and reasonable about generational changes. Recently I am increasingly fed up of seeing half dressed people covered in tattoos which are sometimes offensive; spacer ear things which I honestly find repulsive to look at.

We have been invaded by Queer Theory. It seems.

BlueLegume · Yesterday 19:41

Looking forward to tomorrow and you super people. Apologies for above slight derail.

'During the course of the Second Grievance process, Defra proposed
appointing an external investigation firm, CMP, to investigate. I rejected this
proposal because I had concerns about the firm’s impartiality, having found
articles written by people who worked or had worked for CMP that gave me
cause for concern.'

I wonder if ST has ever claimed that he works well in a team.

Thank you for making me laugh out loud and drop my fork.😁

J: I think section makes more sense if begin p2096. I think Q is, your line manager is saying doesn't agree posts shd have been removed?
ST: Yes

Judge does a lot of reframing NC's Q. Because he wants to ask a different Q or because he's not following the gist? Or because he wants it clear on the record? Let's hope it's the last one.

I suspect because he knows it is not an even match of wit.

What I keep seeing when reading that statement is the default male. It's watermarked on the paper, effectively. Just as his sex is coded into every cell of ST's body, his belief that men are the real humans and women are some weird, defective 'other' appears coded into his entire belief system.

He is not capable of grasping that women have their own interiority, which leads them to have views that differ from his, or of understanding that we are permitted to talk, and indeed disagree with him.

Yes, this.

Wishesandhorses · Yesterday 21:01

The existance of sex 'hurts' him.

Therefore everyone must be compelled at all times to hide its reality from him in every way, and should be punished if they fail in this.

Frankie Howerd is muttering in my ear.
