Sexism/other issues in the Green party England & Wales - Discussion Thread 3

Zack Polanski is making things bigger yet again so another thread needed.

Well things have developed rather a lot since the start. ZP started out as being another sexist guy in politics - no shortage those around, but he thought he could take it to a new level and he proved he could do it.

The Green threads have followed his rise from the start of with the Hypnoboobs scandal and much more. There is also:

Mothin Ali as deputy Leader who clearly doesn't believe in trans thinking, but cleverly sidesteps round talking about it, has always had a issues with encouraging racist violence and is now encouraging people to sue the Green party if they attempt to stop them saying racist stuff.

The other deputy Rachel Millward represents the posh rich faction of the Greens who manages to sounding like Reform when opposing Asylum Seekers in her area, but at the same time saying we are too harsh on immigrants in general. Obviously she also doesn't believe women are a thing. Yet she is the least crazy when violence is concerned compared to ZP, and Mothin.

Hypnoboobs scandal got worse recently when it became clear from BBC footage ZP actively believed in the Hypnoboobs thesis rather than being tricked into it.

Alongside all this there is constant ongoing attacks on biological reality from the party in interviews and in policy.

Now in the last week or so after a longstanding spate of antisemetic rhetoric from some Greens during the election campaign and ZP downplaying it. We have synagogues, schools, ambulances attacked, two Jewish people dead and ZP berating unarmed police for risking their lives in fighting a violent killer who was still armed with a knife things have come to a crisis point.

The Greens are becoming ever more sinister with dozens of candidates sounding like they are seventies NF supporters with comments about uppity women and Jewish power. The huge drama over a crazy motion which they were trying to pass against Israel at conference alongside a motion to prevent women having sports will surface again their September conference.

It seems likely after next week The Greens are going to be running a bunch of councils which doesn't bode well after their antics in Bristol.

Yet there is hope, in Bristol women are fighting back_: www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/5455053-bristol-council-is-about-to-be-sued_

The fight back from Green Women's Declaration, ( https://www.greenwomensdeclaration.uk/ ) continues and the court cases against GPEW from Emma Bateman and Shahrar Ali are developing, both getting through legal delaying tactics as they move to trial. Gardening is needed. These cases if successful could be dramatic in their impact.

First thread - where you can follow the rise of ZP and lots of other scandal

Second Thread:
https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/5456759-sexismother-issues-in-the-green-party-england-wales-discussion-thread-2?

Note the Scottish Greens which are a separate party to the Green Party England/Wales have their own thread for all their sexist drama. They split off because GPEW didn't hate biology and women/gays enough at the time.

The Eastern Region send two delegates to the Green Party Council. One male & one female or in this case two males. It's illegal for a male to take the place intended for a biological female.

But if they decided they wanted to have a masculine gender and a feminine gender officer, would that be unlawful?

You need to use specific legislation in the EA to exclude a man from e.g. an all woman shortlist, but if it's just some strange internal green thing based on gender is that covered by the law? (assuming that they make it clear that anyone can apply for the role and neither sex is disadvantaged, perhaps because they have posts for multiple genders).

Battlebridge Basin, King's Cross, might fit the bill.
https://www.battlebridgemoorings.com/

Right by the London Canal Museum, which is a fascinating little place.

Ah but it’s clearly designated “residential” so poor old ZP would be obliged to pay his council tax.
Mooring cost per month is over £1000. I don’t know if that includes council tax.

ZP is facing a challenge. The election is set for October 8th after the weekend of the Green conference 4/5.

By-election date set for Labour showdown with Zack Polanski after Keir Starmer resigns seat
Zack Polanski is facing a challenge from a Green Party rival

While Mr Polanski is already out on the ground campaigning in the constituency, his candidacy is not yet fully finalised due to local party rules and internal divisions.

Local councillor Hamza Chowdhury, who has put himself forward for the Green nomination, argued that the constituency does not need “another MP who arrives during an election campaign, then disappears once the votes are counted".

Mr Chowdhury said a “global majority” candidate would be best placed to win the seat and represent the “extraordinary diversity of the communities" in the constituency.
The Camden councillor said: "We don’t need another MP who arrives during an election campaign, puts out a few leaflets, makes a few promises and disappears once the votes are counted. We need an MP who is present, accessible and visibly part of the community all year round."

Mr Chowdhury, who represents the Holborn and Covent Garden ward, said: “I’m not asking you to vote for a politician you’ll only see on a leaflet. I’m asking you to choose someone who is already here."
https://www.gbnews.com/politics/holborn-and-st-pancras-by-election-date-confirmed

In a post on Instagram on Monday, Chowdhury said he had received nominations from six other Camden Green councillors, meaning seven of the 10 Greens on the authority oppose Polanski being selected.

Among those backing Chowdhury is Lorna Russell, the group leader in Camden for the Green party, which is the official opposition to Labour.

Meanwhile Mr Folan has published his take on being suspended claiming it was not because of his abusive posts or support for a violent repressive dictatorship but because he was getting bad press for the Greens. He is trying to appeal the decision and accusing the party of transphobia.

There seems to be a lot of TA support for him online.

Folan of course cannot now attend the conference.

To be fair Greens disciplinary system does seem awful, but Folan never complained about it when it was targeting people he didn't like.

Firstly as someone who has had to face the weaponised use of party suspension processes (latterly for the thought crime of "misgendering" [sic] Imane Khelif - coming to a court case near you), I do sympathise with the generalised procedural injustice occasioned by a member having to face this particular firing squad totally blind of the allegations against them or without provision to make any representations.

Regarding the specifics of this case, which Folan has chosen to share, I doubt we can rely on this as a complete account.

However, in so far as the suspension relates to Folan's election to GPC, I don't see how the blame is theirs, but rather the rules and whoever sanctioned the unlawful interpretation of them.

In so far as the suspension may relate to heightened scrutiny of Folan's rabidly antisemitic rantings, the suspension strikes me as a belated yet highly appropriate use of having brought the party into disrepute.

"Mitigation" is not the process through which Folan is going to gain satisfaction however, as on past practice it would require the alleged guilty party to fess up to their misconduct first. It's not an opportunity to challenge reasoning as such and Folan's supporters should be made aware of that.

I'm not so sure about "nuance". There are plenty of comments about Iran and problematic media coverage, but the rest is about "her being suspended for being trans" and "transphobia", not specifically about taking a place reserved for women.

Folan's row with Kai Taylor on X with Kai Taylor co-chair of the GPC (Green Party Council) about his suspension continues.

Now Folan has unearthed a tweet from Green Women's Declaration supporting Taylor over someone else in an election. This I assume is because Taylor was backing the Ramsey/Chowns faction of the Greens who are not as crazy as the ZPy types

Taylor still dislikes Gender crits though.

The row is continuing Folan is so awful he is unpopular with some TA Greens, others are convinced he is being targeted.

The drama will continue to escalate.

Meanwhile those who like watching political drama will enjoy the fact a whole new set of players are now in the Greens having been involved in the YP explosion. They are likely to see The Green Conference in October as a vital point to seize power within the paryy though its divided structure means it is not easily controlled. More in this blog:

will corbyn’s former staffers ruin the party ?

The vast majority of ordinary members of the Green Party of England and Wales (GPEW) are probably unaware of the fact that six months ago, 1400 activists from Momentum who migrated to World Transform and transitioned to Your Party joined the GPEW, just as that last of Corbyn’s ambitious socialist project was imploding.

Prominent amongst this new cohort are former Labour officials and politicians such as Labour Party general secretary Jennie Formby, labour adviser James Meadway, North Tyne Mayor Jamie Driscoll , former MP Llyod Russel-Moyle and David Prescott. In addition, ex-Labour spin doctors Richard Simcox and James Schneider have joined the Party’s communications team. Who knows how many ex-Labour ‘operators’ ‘have joined since?

Given how many of the Green's are Pro Pally's, the party's a natural fit for Momentum, lets hope they destroy themselves before they can destroy any more of the West.

ZPys popularity dropping
Public YouGov polling suggests that Polanski was more popular than unpopular across the country until May this year.

The switch coincided with a terror attack in Golders Green, north London, after which Polanski reposted an X post which criticised police officers for kicking the head of the stabbing suspect to get him to drop his knife.

Polanski, who is Jewish, later apologised after being rebuked by the Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley and the Prime Minister.

The Green Party leader sparked another row in July when he ‘inadvertently’ shared an image of a man wearing a T-shirt displaying the words ‘We’re only making plans for Nigel’ and an image of a guillotine.

I think Folan's suspension was fast tracked because Zippy wants to be an MP.

A whole year of mad Zack
How Zack Polanski and the doolally left conquered the Green Party.
Happy first anniversary to the most preposterous party leader Britain has ever had. Yes, it’s 12 months since Zack Polanski took the reins of the Greens. Twelve months since he left behind his tit-whispering days to become the pied piper of woke pricks everywhere. And what an unintentionally comical 12 months it has been.
https://www.spiked-online.com/2026/09/04/a-whole-year-of-mad-zack/

Meanwhile on X Owen Jones got into an argument with a Gaza women who told him there were no LGBT people in Gaza.

He absolutely skewers him here

Polanski really gave the game away on Question Time when he said he loves mass immigration because, ‘I don’t know about you, but I don’t particularly want to wipe someone’s bum’. There you have it. Sell off British sovereignty so that Zack Polanski will never have to wipe an old person’s arse. Bring in an army of arse-cleaners to spare the overeducated left the indignity of ever having to see a frail relative’s rectum. To hell with Britain’s hard-won sovereign rights – we want freedom from shite! Rarely has the narcissism and nihilism of what hilariously passes for left-wing thought been so grossly on display.

Zack Polanski will never understand the dignity of care work

His ‘bum-wiping’ gaffe exposed a haughty disdain for the working-class women in this vital, challenging profession.

Given that assisted dying is back for a 2nd reading after being talked out earlier this year, this is another potential schism with the new green Gaza voter block and the #BeKind greens.

Interesting it's women and Non binary and trans members being bullied out

Female councillors and officers have reported being “sidelined, patronised, intimidated or treated with hostility by male colleagues”, according to a motion submitted for the party’s autumn conference that accuses the Greens of failing to confront “institutionalised misogyny”.
The motion says such behaviour has been “downplayed, denied or treated as less serious than other forms of oppression” and warns that internal disputes can “fester for years”.
It adds: “Women, non-binary people and trans people remain underrepresented in local, regional and national politics, and these experiences make it harder for marginalised genders to stand, serve and remain active.” .........

.... A Green Party source added: “I don’t recognise this as an accurate characterisation of the party, either in relation to the situation in Leeds or to the scale of internal complaints relating to misogyny. The majority of members respect the confidentiality of our internal investigations and their outcomes, as do I.

“Misogyny is sadly still pervasive across society, and every party and organisation has a responsibility to listen to concerns and keep improving.

Is this new green party members or establishment green men
