I too have the same dehumidifier.

Also, feet and Christmas. I will be wearing my Christmas capybara socks and my Christmas penguin socks this weekend. They're not on my feet because they're washed and ready to be packed. I know it's the May Day Bank Holiday. I don't care.

Also also, that's a lovely blanket, @MyrtleLion.

I've got gardening to do, so I'm leaving the repetitive insanity of that other thread and going out into the howling gale.

The older I get, the less patience I have with people who hold ridiculous positions. Like liking Hypnotits Polanski.

How have I managed to give all the people in my imagination the same dehumidifier whilst owning a completely different dehumidifier myself?

I was enjoying 'that other thread' and visited it this morning to suggest that all it needed for perfection was a recipe for a cake in the shape of a recliner chair made of knives...
but alas it had become serious😣

There's no shortage of eejits saying eejity things over and over again😠

Do you really have a howling gale where you are Edith? It's all quiet on the Western front, not a puff of wind here. Also no more sunshine, we obviously had our ration of it over the pasts few days..

I'll join you in the gardening, if not in the gardenSmile

It’s gone bonkers again. The OP has declared that all of his community speaks as one, thus more or less begging for Borg jokes.

Is that a koan?

EmpressaurusKitty · 28/04/2026 14:41

I haven’t got a dehumidifier.

Can I have one of your imaginary ones, @Boiledbeetle?

Igneococcus · 28/04/2026 14:48

I would totally wear that T-shirt although I think it would be even better if the picture of the gerbil on it would be the picture of Maud wearing the T-shirt, like those pictures in a picture in a picture. I have no idea what those are called.
Also, could I have a large vat of Aperol or Sarti Spritz, please. I need to distract myself from that thread.

<hurtles into the Bluey>

Gerbils, please, a cold compress followed by a double cognac.
And the hot chocolate bowser.

It's like pigeon chess over there.

Also, I have a different dehumidifier.
This means that I am not a figment of Boily's imagination.

Ditto.

ETA: but since hers is different too, does that mean one of us (or both) might actually BE Boily?

ifIwerenotanandroid · 28/04/2026 15:27

If anyone's producing T shirts, can I make a plea for a lowish V neck or scoop neck?

Chickadeeinme · 28/04/2026 15:34

Please can somebody link to the Thread of Madness in case I haven't seen it?

Crikey, your living room is awfully tidy!

Where are the many cables and remotes and game controllers and game cases strewn on the floor because no one can be arsed to up them on them back on the shelf, and the slightly faded flowers in the vase, and the forgotten mugs and water glasses, and the dust??

Margo has OCD. Except in the garden, where anything goes. I dare not post pictures of our garden atm.

Chickadeeinme · 28/04/2026 16:03

Oh yes I started looking at that and soon concluded that life was too short and the OP had basically only thrown a bomb and departed. So many deluded "allies" though!

EmpressaurusKitty · 28/04/2026 16:04

Could Gosie sort this mess out or is it beyond even her skills?

Chickadeeinme · 28/04/2026 16:08

And of course I couldn't resist putting my oar in.

PastaAllaNorma · 28/04/2026 16:09

Can I borrow a humidifier? The roof is finally fixed, at a cost of a gazillion quid, and I need to dry the ceilings before repainting.

Bonkers thread has been pretty entertaining. HypnoTits is about as credible as Magic Grandpa turned out to be.

I'm also in the garden, planting up tomatoes and aubergine seedlings.

I read the OP on that thread… well, until I got bored and decided life was too short. I’ve been for a nice day out (sizergh castle, acers in their spring glory and a small greenhouse filled with jasmine smelling absolutely wonderful in the mild warmth. Then up to the viewpoint past Helsington church with views stretching across the estuary round to the high fells. On to Levens hall for a very good roast beetroot, goat cheese and walnut salad and stroll round their gardens. )

Now home having a nice cup of tea before dashing to the local nursery for compost so I can plant the Brunnera ‘Alexander’s Great’ acquired at Sizergh - I’ve been on the lookout for this variety since seeing one a couple of years ago.

And finally, I also have a different humidifier.

MarieDeGournay · 28/04/2026 16:32

What a lovely day out, Errol.Smile That's a beautiful part of the world.

MyrtleLion · 28/04/2026 16:42

Three visits to town today with DSD. All on the same theme of her Universal Credit.

The GP has now given her a fit note signing her off work until July so she can be assessed for Work Capability. We have confirmed she does not need to go to the Job Centre or search for work again till early July.

The advisors think her PIP application might succeed so we are submitting it tomorrow.

I am overwhelmed and exhausted.

Gin, please, bar-gerbil.

@EmpressaurusKitty Gosie said that we can play as much as we like with the boys who think they are girls as long as it's fun and we can hijack the thread to talk about slippers and reclining sofas. But in the end it's like wrestling pigs. Everyone gets dirty but the pigs love it.

EmpressaurusKitty · 28/04/2026 16:54

Gosie is very wise.

Gin for me too please, bar gerbil.

My microwave broke so I took it to the local electrical recycling point this morning in an ikea bag, which involved a bus journey & walking about a mile with it over my shoulder. That’s definitely enough exercise for one day & requires extra chocolate.

ErrolTheDragon · 28/04/2026 16:55

In case the gerbils are napping in the sun, here’s the gin Gin
Hopefully it will turn out to have been a productive day Myrtle but sorry it’s so draining for you. Flowers
