Helen Webberley v Robbie Starbuck . . . WOW!! 😂

I have watched all the recent Webberley interviews . . . this one is a doozy!!

Robby Starbuck Vs. Pro Trans Doctor: Debate On Child Transitions!

Robbie Starbuck cool as a cucumber and totally unfazed by Webberley's almost continuous unhinged ranting 😂🤣

In previous interviews I thought that she was feigning ignorance. I am not so sure now. Otherwise, she has really jumped the shark by claiming never to have heard of Marci Bowers, at the same time banging on about WPATH as the fount of all knowledge!

What's her next stop - Triggernometry?

I think they'd eviscerate her.

Konstantin Kisin isn't as clever as he thinks he is, but he's still sharp enough to call out her contradictions.

I loved the way she insisted to Helen Joyce that she'd been cleared by the UK High Court re her right to practice, then in the next breath, she questioned the Supreme Court judgement re the meaning of sex in the Equality Act.

So a court judgement is fine when it exonerates her, but questionable when it confirms something with which she does not agree?

I really hope she goes on Triggernometry.

Konstantin Kisin would annihilate her.

Snap!

flyingbuttress43 · 25/11/2025 17:42

I was going to switch it off after 10 minutes because she is batshit crazy, but I stuck with it and I'm glad I did for the sheer joy of seeing her totally implode. Was I the only one who saw her chest get redder and redder as she panicked and stressed out? She's worse than a grifter, she's an evil, deluded grifter.

I can't wait for the medical negligence cases that will flood our courts in a few years.

illuminada · 25/11/2025 17:47

Well that was excoriating! Why on earth does HW continue to do these car crash interviews?
Exposed in all her glorious insanity.

Lottapianos · 25/11/2025 17:49

'Konstantin Kisin isn't as clever as he thinks he is, but he's still sharp enough to call out her contradictions'

Agree on both counts! 😁

'Was I the only one who saw her chest get redder and redder as she panicked and stressed out?'

No. I noticed the Rash of Rage too!

Kucinghitam · 25/11/2025 16:57

If HW didn't exist, we on the reality-based side would have had to invent her. She's an absolute gift to us.

#OperationLetThemSPeak

This will be the one that does the rounds, preusumably. Thanks for the clickbait, I guess, Webberley?!

I think the end where she was a stream of nonsensical verbiage that would not stop, so he just talked over her was a sure sign that she lost it.

It was a complete mess by the end. Unreal.

SwirlyGates · 25/11/2025 18:06

I listened to most of it till I couldn't stand it any more plus I was trying to work at the same time. Sadly I didn't get as far as the gay club stuff. Robbie Starbuck did a great job but I really wanted him to ask

  • re trans penis's in women's changing rooms, and HW "just don't look" (she was getting shouty here). I wanted him to ask, "Why don't we just have mixed changing rooms then?" And if she said, "Fine, I'd like that," he could say, "If trans women are happy changing with (other) men, they could do that now."
  • "gender care". I wanted him to say, "By care, you actually mean giving children untested drugs and surgically removing or altering healthy body parts?"
  • "the brain is fully formed at conception". He could just have said, "bwa ha ha". Or perhaps, "I thought you were a doctor, do you really believe that?"
  • "Who is Riley Gaines? I've never heard of her." He could have said, "You don't seem to know very much about the field in which you claim to be a professional."
  • She came up with some obvious contradictions, I don't recall the details now, and I'm certainly not listening again, but something like, "Obviously no one does this to children," and later, "You want to stop us doing this to children."

It's entirely possible that he asked these things later, or that I missed them due to the extra shouting in my head!

Helleofabore · 25/11/2025 18:10

It is more than incredible that Webberley did not know who Riley Gaines was when it was only recently they were on Piers Morgan together.

OOOOOHHHH!

Perhaps she has a very very short memory. She should see a doctor about that.

Catiette · 25/11/2025 18:21

I wondered if she was on something, to be honest. The inability to form coherent sentences, to listen to questions without interrupting, to manage her own emotions - and the childish gestures - I don't like saying this (personal, and who am I to know!), but it did feel to me like there's something going on there. Maybe a personality disorder? Whatever it is, it wasn't normal a presentation for a professional adult in that kind of context. I honestly think that even among parents who are already true believers, but watch that to scope her out as a prospective way to access "care" for their child, many will be liable to discount her based on that alone.

What's that advice to drug dealers? Something about "Don't get high on your own supply of Righteous farts?"

mateysmum · 25/11/2025 18:54

Regardless of whether one agrees with her general views, (I don't), she came across as unhinged, something really off about her whole demeanour. I haven't seen the other recent interviews but some of the things she said in this one were just bizarre, especially for a doctor. The denial of provable events and facts was gobsmacking. Never come across Mr Starbuck before but I admire the way he kept calm and professional. I don't think I could have done so.

blubberball · 25/11/2025 18:57

In her mind, what would be the criteria to be met to access treatment? Just saying "I feel like the opposite sex"? Is that all it takes? There don't seem to be any tests or scans that confirm that you need treatment

There is only one criterion: "Can you pay my fees?"

Plus she wanted to deny calling Riley a bigot until they put her tweet on the screen that did exactly that. Cue the sound of retreating feet.....

DustyWindowsills · 25/11/2025 19:19

Finally made it to the end today. Wow.

I keep coming back to accounts of the Hodge-cast debate last week, from Daniel Hodges (link below) and I think also from Julie Bindel herself. Helen W was accompanied by her new marketing and PR coordinator. By DH's account, they didn't seem to do much coordination, but did sit in on the debate taking photos and videos with a smirk on their face.

Would it be fanciful to infer that this PR coordinator is the mastermind behind HW's debates and interviews?

And would it unkind to ask how that's going?

This was Starbuck’s reply to Webberley.

I know you like to believe people can identify as whatever they want but identifying as someone who won the debate is bold even for you Helen. 99% of the viewers so far think you came off nuttier than squirrel 💩. Also we released the entire interview. Nothing was cut from it. 😂

That’s quite the burn. It made me laugh.

OldCrone · 25/11/2025 20:08

Webberley claims that denying 'gender affirming care' to children and young people leads to poor mental health and even to suicide (about 34 mins in). Her memory lapses have caused her to forget about this very sad outcome for one of Gender GP's young patients a few years ago.

I'm going to go out on a limb here....

Having listened to most of her recent outings in Podcastistan, I don't think any of them really broke through with her. She was able to wheel out her standard lines, say all the 'be kind' stuff, and honestly, I didn't hate her, instead I thought the interviewers did a bad job.

There were so many points they just let go, or didn't keep going at, that I was honestly left with a feeling of 'I understand where she is coming from' which is actually untrue, I don't really - but it shows I think she sort of won!

She is possessed, literally, by a feeling she is doing good. She genuinely believes she is helping people, and I don't think Robbie Starbuck, Trig guys, Julie Bindel, Helen Joyce got through to that very personal problem at all. And I think that is the crux of winning this - it is nothing to do with fact, it is all feeling. Andrew Gold got the closest, but overall it is quite depressing as on the face of it, if you look at her actual words, she wasnt that bad - she genuinely believes she is helping people and that is the bit that no-one challenges

Of course, if the BBC had been doing its job properly it would have blown GenderGP out of the water years ago.

But go for it Mr Kelly.

Boiledbeetle · 25/11/2025 20:42

I'm currently watching the Robbie interview. She sounds really angry (not helped by the fact that I'm watching it on x2 speed!)

And she is coming across as completely nuts. Her head is shoved so far up her own arse she can see her tonsils.

She has been unravelling through these four interviews in real time.

It's absolutely fascinating watching her. If it wasn't such a horrific subject it would be funny to watch, instead it's just incredibly sad that this woman is allowed to peddle her wares on vulnerable distressed individuals that are being sold a lie.
