I think Prescott is coming across as wanting to HELP the BBC rather than damage it. There are no credible gotchas to be had from the believers in a Right wing conspiracy/coup from this man or the memo.

(Some of) these MPs' problem is that Prescott is cleverer than them, and knows a lot more about the workings of the BBC than them.
