Fibro is not so obliging as to only flare when someone says something controversial. If only.

I'd be a lot happier if it did then I'd just watch cartoons all day and stay off the internet. Boring, but pain free!

Yes I saw that, but I have found someone who looks roughly the right age and also works in PR/Marketing, based in Manchester of the same name.

Remarkable coincidence if not the same person.

Don't think so as they seem to have lived in the UK since secondary school.

I grew out of it. Though it may also be one of the many (mostly small but unpleasant) things that resolved when I stopped eating wheat. I haven't forgotten.

I must say I find it odd that it took them almost an hour to come up with that excuse discuss such a reasonable reason.

And why they didn't just explain this earlier on?

Judge must be fuming right now

There might be an element of relief at having the issue resolved? It's taken out of her hands now. Obviously everyone can see what's really happened, but Boyd's not the only person this is convenient for!

AMansAManForAllThat · 14/11/2025 16:50

I know nothing about this as I’ve literally just arrived and am having to catch up.

I do know about fibromyalgia, and charitably… hearing distressing things makes the pain flair up.
So I look like a flake because I can visit my lovely friend Judith who has a nice comfy sofa and enjoys a two way conversation.
I come over ill at the thought of visiting DM who sits in the only comfortable chair in an under heated house, demands I do loads of jobs, and talks loudly at me listing all her complaints and upsets. When I go, I come back in pain and it takes a few days to recover.

So charitably, she could have been ok until the going got tough.

And was calling herself professor in 2006.

I can find no digital footprint for DB or Re3 that have any credibility. No links to a HE or links post 2004 to a company other than those registered and dissolved by DB and her family.

Waste facility to create 50 jobs share.google/Qt56VSCYEsk2Q8CO6

Re3 was a Dublin registered company under the name c Resource Recycling Recovery and dissolved in 2015

Well, that was all a bit of an unexpected rollercoaster of a day.

I wonder if the internet will give up more secrets, to screw the panel completely, over the weekend?

ickky · 14/11/2025 16:51

I bet CE is on it over the weekend Boiled.

I would be unsurprised if a certain elf will be digging over the weekend

Can any observers report on how Naomi and Charlotte look to be doing after all that? OK, I hope.

So - it's on. If you found today useful and would like to read a write up of it in a newsletter (at some stage tonight) and you haven't already, please consider making a small donation to the tip jar below.

https://genderblog.net/donate/

Do not worry if you can't afford or don't want to - I am planning to put a week-ending report up on the GenderBlog at some point, but it will be much shorter than the newsletters.

Donate

The panel on the right (or below if you’re reading this on a mobile phone) is a secure payment portal set up to accept donations for my work. If you donate you will be subscribed to the Gende…

Ok, new theory. I think DB bolted bcos offended by pronoun use. I think J knew that was what she was going to say and stopped with a warning not to say anything that might prove prejudicial (I know that’s the wrong word technically speaking but you know what I mean) ans then PB came up with pain claim to justify asking for private disc. I think j knows full well that PB is biased and so used that as a good face- saving means of recusal. I also think J knows that PB should have declared her connections, historic or not, and that it is likely someone will find TRA stuff somewhere.

I think it took them an hour because PB didn’t want to be recused but J knew it was going to have to happen.

I suspect thia will be used by BFF as grounds for appeal if they lose and so the panel will judge IB their favour whilst doing a bit of light admonishing about behaviour around disclosure and lying by witnesses. Ie they’ll say SM wasn’t constructively dismissed or harassed tho they could have handled things better but being a small org it’s tricky — or something along those lines.

Then NC will try and appeal but will probably get stitched up by NI ET systems who will stand with panel.

it’s probably worked in BFFs favour that PB is out.

ADHDHDHDHD · 14/11/2025 16:53

Well fancy that. Virgin gym WiFi is blocking the gender blog of NW.

HA! Like she hasn’t already demonstrated she’s been talking to folk.

Justabaker · 14/11/2025 16:55

I had to speak at Newman vs Met Police to oppose an anonymity order for a witness. I respectfully agreed with and adopted the barrister's remarks (that would be NC) and said in any event it would be futile. I said that the parties requesting secrecy for someone who was going to appear in court and was an employee of said Met Police was an exercise in futility. The parties might be bound but I said the judge was seriously underestimating the quality and diligence of internet detectives.

Thanks to everyone who donated and/or followed the tweets. Hopefully you got the gist of what was happening today. Thanks also to both legal teams, the witnesses, the court staff and the observers who have made this a fascinating week.

I'm going to try and catch the Friday fun plane whilst bashing out some copy.

Don't forget to watch Bernie Allen's (@emeldajane2) report on BBC Northern Ireland's Newsline at 6.30pm tonight.

Thread ends!

So no one really knows who this Professor Boyd is, what she does, why she's a professor, or how she ended up on the panel?

thewaythatyoudoit · 14/11/2025 17:00

Good job we've all got the weekend to recover. I'm wondering about hidden agendas here. NC and Sex Matters clearly choose very carefully the cases that they get involved in and approach rich witches to fund. Was this one chosen because of fears that the close connections of professionals in the small NI community make it difficult to move things forward following FWS, and the idea here was to cause some shock waves to force people to abandon the party line? You would get non-local lawyers in to do that, local ones wouldn't be able to stand up against an oppressive TRA culture if there is one. But maybe the establishment isn't that captured, though I think Largesso's theory is consistent with a very insular stance

So, the judge didn’t even address the issue of her company associations?
