Man who transitioned to female sues expert for discrimination after being told breastfeeding was delusional

A transgender mother who underwent medical treatment to breastfeed her newborn son is suing a breastfeeding expert who publicly dismissed her experience as a 'delusional queer theory take'.

Former Australian Breastfeeding Association volunteer counsellor Jasmine Sussex will face a Queensland tribunal next year over claims she discriminated against Brisbane transgender woman Jennifer Adrian Buckley.

The tribunal will decide if Ms Buckley was discriminated against under the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act over a series of social media posts by Ms Sussex.

I know this isn’t in the UK. But why the hell aren’t social services stepping in and removing babies from any man attempting this? (I mean, I know the answer, but it’s what should be happening).

How can this be considered normal, the amount of hormones and quite strong chemicals this baby would have ingested - surely it cant be good for it???

Also, this is a fetish, a sexual thing, so how can this be allowed?

The endocrinologist says there's no risk to the baby but how can she know?

I feel sorry for Jasmine Sussex who's a volunteer, giving her time to help other women and now she faces this. Nobody's going to be volunteering in Australia if that's where it lands them.

I believe Dr Deutsch is a director of clinical services at the Center of Excellence for Transgender Health at the University of California San Francisco.

The first hour of their child's life and the focus is on using that child for a validation experience.

Honestly the stuff about drugs and hormones and nutrition is just a side-argument, if not irrelevant.

First and foremost, even if this man was able to produce more than a drop of milk that was indistinguishable from the mother's, it would still be depraved.

Mothers nursing their children is good and wholesome and about the bond as much as it is about feeding. A man trying to do the same is sick. Imagine growing up and finding out your dad had used you like that? He took pictures of it in the hospital? Nauseating.

And I believe that when reporting this, the BBC got a gender studies professor to come on as an ‘expert’ and affirm that the milk was just like the mother’s milk. That was the BBC’s idea of expertise and a balanced article.

I'm assuming that in lesbian partnerships the birthing mother feeds the child because the drugs that would be needed to induce lactation in the other would be unwise?

An hour after birth when the baby should be getting the colostrum and all the anti bodies and instead you prioritise your own feelings.

Yes that’s an interesting version of ‘balance’ by the BBC - a gender studies bod commenting on a medical issue affecting children.

There have been and still are cases of biological women giving birth, struggling to BF and are REFUSED any hormonal help to support lactating, yet this pervert is allowed to abuse this newborn to facilitate his percieved conformation on a hospital ward in front of everyone else.

The usual approach is that nothing is safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women because it cannot be adequately tested.

You can't use bonjella for a mouth ulcer or drink a glass of wine but this is fine.

You can't make it make sense because it doesn't.

Another woman though at least doesn’t have male levels of hormones or suppressants and a range of other drugs that no one knows will cause issues for the infant.

There's a name for men who want children to suck their nipples and it's not 'breastfeeding mother'.
