No arrests so far...

Julie Bindel (@bindelj) on X

Look at them - police don't seem to arrest these men - too busy locking people up for misgendering:

That should hopefully get it more publicity.

The violence has is also aimed at the venue because first of all 'how dare they!' and second to make it difficult for women to find venues willing to run the risk of holding their events.

This. It is a form of terrorism, however you want to slice it.

She’s playing to the gallery, but again, more sunlight. She’s a despicable, craven woman.

If women didn't want their legal rights and refuse to take their clothes off quietly or be excluded from society, men wouldn't have to hurt them.

Noted. What an absolute bucket she is.

Zack’s twatty comment incoming in 5, 4, 3….

FortheloveofPetethePlumber · 10/10/2025 17:39

Not to mention the absolute capacity issues of any MP living at this point in history and parliament who fails to be clearly condemning of politically motivated violence and destruction.

Farage really needn't bother getting out bed at this point, the left parties are running the campaign for him.

Agree, he’ll want to get in on the action. Like Sian, it will function as a veiled threat to wrongthinkers.

That is actually shocking. I don't know quite what to say. What a dereliction of her duty as an elected representative.

It must breach parliamentary standards to condone an actual crime, surely?

Men reacting violently to women congregating, speaking and networking is exactly what the taliban do

FortheloveofPetethePlumber · 10/10/2025 17:47

Fine words from Wes. Action......?

Edited

I couldn't agree more

RNApolymerase · 10/10/2025 17:57

Yes, it wasn't even a "this is bad, but" - just "these women should not have come here".
I wonder if Sian has taken any time to see what the conference is about?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 10/10/2025 18:00

What about the ones who already live there?

FarriersGirl · 10/10/2025 18:01

Sian's head is completely empty, just nothing there, no reasoning, thought or empathy for women on any level. She is a disgrace....at least most of the comments can see her for what she is.

Absolutely. She’s abandoning her female constituents by suggesting we shouldn’t be able to discuss these issues in Brighton.

spannasaurus · 10/10/2025 18:13

Trans Pride Brighton said it was not involved, but would not denounce the vandalism, adding: “We are deeply concerned about a possible retaliatory attack on the Trans Pride Centre and community safety remains our priority.

Are they worried about retaliation from Bash Back if they denounce the vandalism?

That is a shocker of a post. Sian Berry must be truly deep in a hole that she thought that was in any way appropriate.

AlanJohnsonsBeemer · 10/10/2025 18:19

This direct action has worked for me, all of my concerns about males in female spaces have melted away. Bravo, and I wholeheartedly apologise for not being kind previously

TheProfoundlyPeculiarPointOfPete · 10/10/2025 18:26

Events that inflame division and create tension should be guarded against and
@BrightonHoveCC
needs better policies for which events it will host in our council-owned venues. The choice of Brighton was clearly provocative from organisers and the problems caused predictable.

By Sian Berry.
That really is breathtakingly despicable.
I assume she knew what was on the FILIA agenda and still thought that was the right response?

Panels like "examining the ramifications of the far-right riots of 2024 on Black, minoritised and migrant Women".

Absolutely vile to blame anti-racists for "inflaming" people who desperately want to carry on being racist. I can't see how she's different from Farage in this respect.

I believe OP @SingleSexSpacesInSchools is currently attempting to get her to support the rights of teenage girls in her constituency.

They don’t care that most people disagree, they’re just enjoying their larping as revolutionaries and the power trip.
