No arrests so far...

Julie Bindel (@bindelj) on X

Look at them - police don't seem to arrest these men - too busy locking people up for misgendering:

Yes, we all know that women need to be in that list of people currently feeling anxious, but completely agree with Greysky , it's a 'yes yes we know you're not happy women have rights, there there,', followed by a clear statement of no bias, available to all. I'm fine with that, we need it to become normal everywhere.

Threatening behaviour and criminal damage would be a police matter, and since they are on a remit of without fear or favour of course I'll expect arrests to now take place and charges happen as I would for anyone of any belief, race, creed, sex, etc etc. It's going to look a bit grim for the police and ministers involved and be a bit of a PR disaster if they don't act in a timely and sensible way, particularly as the receipts are everywhere. I'm sure the papers and Reform will be straight on it if presented with an open goal.

What I will wait for, I suspect in vain but would love to be wrong, for is any public message from any group or organisation representing people with trans identities that separates themselves from this kind of criminal behaviour, and makes it clear that this violence is not an integral part of identifying as trans. Not in my name, etc. But it's their problem if they choose not to be clear that this does not represent the community as a whole.

Not on the BBC local news (website) yet

I do think we need to acknowledge that there is something called (for want of a better expression) "second tier terrorism". Smashing windows to intimidate women who want to talk is terrorism in a literal sense, but on the other hand I think it's important to not get carried away. It is not the same as what the IRA did in Brighton in the 80s or what ISIS do.

I would disagree.
Anything that uses violence as a physical and or psychological threat to make someone do / not do things at the behest of the perpetrator and is movement organised, is terrorism

The minute it is redefined it becomes too easy to then see it as okay - just a valid form of expression. Nope - it is terrorism.

The women meeting up didn't cause this to happen.
The violent individuals did this 'because' they chose to prioritise violence and destruction over doing literally anything else.

As always, men's reaction to feminism shows exactly why we need it.

Love your third sentence

This ^^

A simple thought experiment - if women wanting sex based rights ever committed criminal damage in an attempt to terrorize and intimidate, would you see this as understandable (it's the 'just bantz' argument) or would you say this was wholly unacceptable and arrests and prosecutions should follow?

If a cross parent smashes a school window because they're fed up with a teacher or a school response?
If a cross patient smashes their local GP surgery window?
If a bunch from an organisation smashed a theatre window because they didn't like a play being put on?

Criminal damage is criminal damage. There are no special men with special cirumstances that entitle them to different law and treatment to everyone else. Much as they would love you to believe otherwise.

Well done lads. You've managed to convince me that you're not just a bunch of violent, invasive men.

Yep

FortheloveofPetethePlumber · 10/10/2025 11:23

EasternStandard · 10/10/2025 11:21

Yep

And that absolutely, non consenting distressed women should be forced to take their clothes off for you.

Since otherwise you'll smash things and threaten to hurt people.

Yes. Totally convincing.

BundleBoogie · 10/10/2025 11:24

It just demonstrates that, despite public protestations to the contrary, in their minds there is no acceptable way for women to discuss their rights or even lives without men.

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 10/10/2025 11:26

Yup

they’re just incels in more colourful clothing

I hope the media pick this up

JaquelineHide · 10/10/2025 11:28

"Bash back". But they are always the bashers!

Absentosaur · 10/10/2025 11:28

The violent aggressive men, with their omni cause scarves over their faces too. 🤢🤮

Benefits or student loans (also from the tax payer) straight in the bank, moving from protest to protest. Spreading love and acceptance.

Coatsoff42 · 10/10/2025 11:32

When are men going to publish their list of topics women are allowed to talk about? It would make things much clearer.

JaquelineHide · 10/10/2025 11:43

This again

weegielass · 10/10/2025 11:44

its only a matter of time before some one gets seriously hurt, like in america, its frightening.

I agree. Here's a timeline of incidents that have already happened:

Edited to add: obviously there are MANY more than this. I myself witnessed an assault on a Youtube reporter at a LWS event. He was a neutral attendee just reporting on the local event.

JaquelineHide · 10/10/2025 11:50

Literally threatening an MP. Prevent actually should be looking into this group.

I’ve just bought a solidarity ticket to FiLiA. If anyone has any spare cash it is a way of showing that we will not be cowed by this violence. One year maybe I’ll be able to attend.

It's not terrorism.. it's tantrumism.

midgetastic · 10/10/2025 11:57

Apparently according to the Argos it’s the trans none binary and intersex communities who are frightened

not the women who are the target of the attack?

Ikr give it up, we don’t want it.

theilltemperedmaggotintheheartofthelaw · 10/10/2025 12:04

Violence, or the threat of it, against civilians, for a political purpose is terrorism, and its time the police did something about it. Also, TRAs would be idiots not to publically disavow BashBack, but we will see...

I had to smile at the ignorance of human nature displayed by that poster:

The poster claims that FiLiA supports "anti trans policies, anti sex work policies, opposing adult content online including in video games" and is "pro police and tough on crime".

I can see many a crusty small-c conservative reading that and going "maybe the feminists are onto something after all!".

midgetastic · 10/10/2025 11:57

The Centre has acknowledged that some trans, non-binary and intersex residents might have felt "anxiety and stress" if that's what you mean.

You have to read that in the context of the whole statement though. And the timeline of events.

That statement came before the attack, and the Argus has contacted police for comment. Let's hope its strong condemnation and not more pandering.

Greyskybluesky · 10/10/2025 12:12

That statement came before the attack

Yes. That clearly indicates that the venue had already received objections, opposition and threats, no doubt.

SirEctor · 10/10/2025 12:15

Were any of them arrested after smashing up Wes Streeting's office? I appreciate this information might not be public but has anyone heard anything?
