There are people that believe Harry and Meghan don't have children and that they borrow 'Archie' and 'Lilibet' for photos. The world is crazy.

This, they’re brainwashed conspiracy theorists, any response just feeds their delusions further. But I do kind of get suing an author - they’re more calculated with it and are profiting from it.

The Macron/Nogues families are not 'old rich families'.
The Macron grandfather was a railway worker, and the Nogues grandparents were teachers.

There is a good degree of social mobility in France.
Young people from any background can take a state exam leading to entry to prestigious educational establishments.

Many of my French friends who have 'done all right for themselves' in life have parents - not even grandparents - who worked in trades or semi-skilled jobs.

Macron's parents both benefitted from the educational system to get good jobs - the father became a doctor and then Professor of Neurology, the mother a doctor - but they didn't have to be 'old money' to do so, they just had to be academically successful.

Macron's father the Professor specialises in epilepsy and sleep disturbance; I don't know what kind of doctor his mother is, and if it is in any way related to gender - not that knowing the facts would stop the fantasies!🙄

Have they produced this evidence? The Macrons have every right to sue for defamation. Owned has published extremely damaging accusations with no factual basis.

a 36 year old female forming a relationship with a 14 year old boy would be impossibly rare. A 36 year old male grooming a 14 year old boy into a relationship is more credible....a simple cheek swab should sort this out though

These people are in positions of power. They want you to dismiss it without questioning it further. Which is exactly what I did until I heard about the journalist who has spent a decade researching this story and has had to move countries because of it.

I don’t want to dismiss it! I want to understand how the concept of “proof” holds up in a post-truth world, where seemingly anything can be manipulated with AI, and no one has to accept any evidence that is placed in front of them if it contradicts their existing opinions or feelings.

The conspiracy theorists say that there is no evidence that Brigitte is the mother. No photographs of Brigitte with her children when they were young or of her pregnant. They claim Brigitte is the father of the children. I’m not sure what is supposed to have happened to the mother.

It’s all a bit silly. I don’t know why the Macrons don’t just ignore the rumours. They have no reason to “prove” anything. It’s not like Brigitte will be boxing in the Olympics anytime soon. Also I think the Streisand effect is somewhat at play here.

I genuinely have no idea because if they got this far I’m sure they can do whatever it takes. They are the ones suing. This is just the next stunt to distract the public.

I don’t care about how someone identifies. But if this story is true then Macron was manipulated by his parents and groomed by a male pedophile (who we all saw assaulting him on that plane) and has never had a relationship outside of that. He’s living inside a Truman show if true.
