Crikey! I’d like to know the answer to that too…

Golly

Swashbuckled · 13/09/2025 21:40

Oh my! I want it! And yet I don't. I have never been able to bring myself to open the marmite peanut butter!

Marmite peanut butter?

I’m beginning to wonder what planet I’ve been living on!

Wow! I'm tempted...

Boiledbeetle · 13/09/2025 21:44

I can say the Marmite Lynx shower gel was a step too far.

I mean I LOVE marmite, but spending all day with the cats trying to eat you because you smell like Marmite is a step too far!

Swashbuckled · 13/09/2025 21:46

I had to google that because I thought it must be a joke.
Whatever will they think of next…

Marmite Tunnocks?

Marmite Tunnocks?

Maybe we could petition Marmite and Tunnock's?

Although the fear of ruining two of my favourite foods in one hit...

Would the tea cake or the caramel wafer work better?

Hmmmm.

OP posts:
Swashbuckled · 13/09/2025 21:50

I think the tea cake, with the Marmite creating a marbled effect in the marshmallow.

I remember when picked onion crisps came out (in proper crisps, not space raiders or monster munch) and I thought they were the best flavour I’d ever had. They didn’t seem to be around for long. Sad times.

I bought some at Lidl during Scottish week (which sounds weird considering I'm in Scotland), they are from Taylor I think.
@Boiledbeetle dp remembers hedgehog flavoured crisps from when he lived a few years in England as a child

Swashbuckled · 13/09/2025 21:40

Is it yours @FuzzyPuffling ?

No.
I like Marmite.
I like caramel.
I'm not having both at once.

Bannedontherun · 13/09/2025 21:54

I am shocked, i say shocked, appalled, troubled, and in hyperbolic turmoil at the very idea of corrupting Tunnock’s

the very idea,

faints

Swashbuckled · 13/09/2025 21:58

Thanks.
At those prices I’ll take a box of them!

I remember hedgehog flavoured crisps.

Alas they were forced to withdraw them from sale as they didn't contain actual hedgehogs.

It might have been a fever dream but I seem to remember roast chicken dinner flavour, roast lamb and mint sauce flavour and roast beef and horseradish flavour as well.

Taztoy · 13/09/2025 22:08

Marmite is an abomination.

<awaits forceable ejection from the Blustocking>

(I couldn’t think of the right word and I had ejaculation stuck in my head which isn’t quite right!!!)

The marmited things that were seriously good were cashews.

Swashbuckled · 13/09/2025 22:12

Well I’ve just polished off a bag of roast beef with horseradish sauce; they’re still a thing.

Roast lamb… interesting. Why don’t we commonly see lamb and pork flavour crisps, I wonder. It’s all beef, chicken, turkey and bacon. I think mackerel would be good.

I had a tin of Waitrose sweet cured mackerel for lunch. That’d definitely work as a crisp flavour.
