Graham Linehan arrested on arrival at Heathrow Part 3

These threads are currently being used to follow the case that is taking place at Westminster Magistrate's Court over the 4th and 5th September, but will also be following the subsequent fallout of Graham's arrest at Heathrow on his return to the UK for this court case earlier this week.

He is currently on trial for alleged harassment of a trans identified male and criminal damage to the man's phone. The charges stem from a series of events in October 2024 at Battle of Ideas.

The comment about the BBC is so significant. In failing so abjectly in their responsibility to report fairly, they've directly contributed to this by fuelling frustration and anger that could otherwise have been dissipated by the security offered in open, honest reporting.

This sounds like what i worried might happen, that GL would talk generally and emotionally rather than about this case. I know they have to establish background, but it needs to be done on a measured manner.

GL became aware of him at a LWS even wearing a mirrored-mask - he was jostling people and trying get a reaction - he was a typical TRA misogynist, he was abusive he was snide and he relied on his..

I think it also creates a strong impression of what's motivating him - not strategic scalp-hunting, but raw hurt and anger - and his consequent vulnerability. Not a clue is this is remotely relevant in this context, though.

GL I'll tell you why - TRAs have a very low bar for offence - the idea you can't correctly sex someone without causing offence is a completely concocted taboo - and it requires you to lie
