These threads are currently being used to follow the case that is taking place at Westminster Magistrate's Court over the 4th and 5th September, but will also be following the subsequent fallout of Graham's arrest at Heathrow on his return to the UK for this court case earlier this week.

He is currently on trial for alleged harassment of a trans identified male and criminal damage to the man's phone. The charges stem from a series of events in October 2024 at Battle of Ideas.

Part 2 here

Free Speech Union are running a fundraiser to support a claim against the Met in reference to the Heathrow arrest. Just search FSU and Graham Linehan fundraiser and it should be easy to find. Currently reached 93% of its target.

Most of the mainstream media have reported on the case, but none have covered it as well as Nick Wallis. Follow him on X for live posting from the court.

I LOVE how cleverly JKR explores the themes this insanity has thrown up, using the Strike novels, without simply lifting the events straight from life and replicating them. Not only does it show how universal they are, it gives her detractors ample opportunity to make total tits of themselves. Like one the other day who did the "Troubled Blood is transphobic" thing, thus revealing that he hasn't read it, or he'd know that there's no trans character in it and no mention of transgenderism, just a cracking story with great characters that deals with themes like the changing (and yet non-changing) role of women in society, feminism, classism, family, relationships, death, the past and more. However, by assuming that the cross dressing killer, who never claims to be a woman, uses male pronouns and has zero issue being incarcerated in a men's prison and regarded as a man, is a transwoman, he revealed that he knows transwomen are men.

You just know what JKR was thinking during The Running Grave when one of the cultists spits at Robin, absolutely certain that her fictional prophet will rightly punish her, and Robin finally realises that it's pointless trying to reason with them. They're mad. They're all fucking mad.

Edited

I love that scene and I often think it's what she wants to shout.

I thought immediately of the Ink Black Heart and the sock puppet accounts circling certain women when they were mentioned in this trial.

I suppose if something good has to come off all this then it's some bloody brilliant books.

Between the Glinner case and the release of the Hallmarked Man, this will nor be a productive week!

In related news, Julie Bindel has been ejected from Surrey Pride, at the behest of the local MP, Zoe Franklin. Sorry, I don't know how to do links on my phone, but it's on Julie's Twitter and in the Mail.

This surely must be discrimination and quite possibly an abuse of Franklin's position as an MP?

That video of her and security made me feel sick. It's unusual for me to have such a visceral reaction like that but then I realised that the security man was talking over her in much the same way as my MP did to me on my own doorstep.

I'd never heard of this MP. I looked her up. Lib Dem. Quelle surprise.

They repeat falsehoods because it's not about being right. It's about winning. This is the MO of all the militant TRAs.

They HAVE to win, because it's about power and control not identity.

Yes.

They don't like women.
They know they're not women.
They don't want to be women.

They want power and control.

Is anyone else starting to feel this is a bit of a tipping point?

The mood music on X seems to have changed a bit. There's the Gladwell Volte Face. Even the Irish Times has an article where it's suggested that GC ideas are not entirely unreasonable.

It might be that LOJ coming out in (kind of) support for Glinner's free speech rights has really thrown me. 🤪

Of course it's a tipping point.

There's been lots of little ones in the last couple of years.

This definitely is another one, because it's now no longer about trans-identity or women's rights.

We are into the realms of institutional failure, corruption and lack of freedom of speech which have a much bigger audience and much bigger implications.

This is essentially where the US went before the Trump election too. The Democrats thought it was about pronouns.

It isn't. And actually, it never was.

Wasn’t it Surrey Pride that was previously run by a man who turned out to be a paedophile?

Wasn't Julie asking about safeguarding in the wake of one of the founders of surrey pride being imprisoned for raping a child?

The optics are fucking terrible

Really? We hadn't heard that theory before in relation to the trans movement. I'd heard about it in relation to Brexit and the first Trump election.

Who is Jolyon?

Transactivist tax lawyer, often referred to as ‘the fox killer’. Not known for winning cases.

I’m hoping GL’s evidence, Sarah Vine’s x examination, & the further evidence to come of SB & his cronies harassment of women (& GL) will change the perception of who these ‘most vulnerable & oppressed trans people’ really are.

We’ve been able to see for years who’s been pushing this ideology. The only vulnerable individuals are those children & young adults who’ve been caught up in this social contagion. Unlike the 95%+ of men pretending to be women, who are walking around with their genitals intact, this is the group with body parts removed & mangled, on cross sex hormones, sterile & likely to be life long medical & pharmaceutical patients.

I also hope people will see that the men sitting next to them in their women only support group, changing room, sports team, aren’t the likes of fragrant Kaitlyn Jenner or Dylan Mulvanney. At least they put on a show (if it’s not true) of liking women.

The men invading their spaces are grubby misogynists who not only don’t care about women’s safety & dignity, but are the one’s actively compromising both of these.

This insistence that we have 'leaders' is very male. Men tend to organise themselves on those lines, women don't. It's true that we have some people (nearly all women, of course) who are more in the limelight than others but that doesn't make them 'leaders'.

It's a curious overall behavioural difference between the sexes isn't it. I wonder if it's innate. Other primates have similar hierarchical behaviour, I think.

Thought I might have a look at Kiwifarms but the link I have no longer works. Can anyone help plese?

murasaki · 07/09/2025 18:06

Throwing a lesbian out of pride is not a good look. And there's nothing wrong with her questioning them about their founder and his abhorrent criminal behaviour. Not very 'inclusive' of them.

Thanks, I've seen the 'fox killer' being mentioned on a lot of threads and not known who he was. Whilst I'm showing my gaps in knowledge, could you tell me who 'Fat Tony' is? I gather he's part of the Lyndsey Watson/ Sophie Brooks gang but is there anything else noteworthy about him? Thanks a mill.

Appalonia · 07/09/2025 18:14

Just wanted to say that the Battle of Ideas is an EXCELLENT conference. A genuine exchange of Ideas across the political spectrum, with lots of time given to audience contributions, and loads of important issues being discussed. I've been the last 2 years and I felt v inspired and hopeful after attending, that this kind of real life space still exists. Lots of great speakers and its pretty cheap with a drinks reception with lots of opportunities for networking. Highly recommended! And lots of GC speakers.

Stephanie Hayden - uploads heavily filtered pics of himself. He had long, badly dyed blonde hair, last I saw. Also has a criminal record, pre-transition.

Fat Tony, Anthony George Halliday, Flying Lawyer, Stephanie Hayden

all the same guy

Harasser of gender critical crew

Also, despite his claims, he's not a lawyer. He has a law degree but that's not the same thing.

He once took Mumsnet to court to get the email address of a MN user, but the MN user had registered their email address as Hayden's own name.

SionnachRuadh · 07/09/2025 18:25

The thing is, there doesn't have to be a singular leader, and I'd be surprised if there were.

A tightly knit group, now that's another matter. Doesn't have to be a formal group with a committee, secretary and minutes - more likely a longstanding group of mates who are all on the same WhatsApp group.

There used to be something like this in the English Catholic world several years back - a group of online mates who would coordinate smears and doxxing and harassment against people they saw as enemies. It wasn't even a factional or ideological thing, though some members saw it as that, it ran mostly on personal grudges.

Tarquin has a definite Anomie vibe, but JKR didn't know the half of what goes on in certain spaces.
