Get the popcorn folks. GLP is getting ready to lose again.

They are going after barrister Sarah Phillimore for referring to a man as a man. They think they are going to lawfare her into silence.

The only thing is other TAs have already tried this on Phillimore multiple times. They went to the Bar Council their claims were dismissed. They all failed. More to the point this ‘Kate’ is the same guy complaining again who already failed. Sarah Phillimore knows the law and likes explaining it to TAs and making them lose. So she doesn't even resent the attempt.

As Sarah has stated "They pick on someone who not only enjoys this but has now a vast repository of knowledge about the law in this area."

Funny you should mention that, it's already kicking off chez Greens because the Green Women's Declaration group were granted a stand. Wordz have been had by the TRAs!! And, in a very Green fashion, there's going to be a vote.

I'm reading it, and I know the history in how they've already been taken to court.

For the most part LD members are too straight and upright to kick off, whereas the greens are by their very nature more militant.

Hypnotits should be managing the situation and calming it, but he has already inflamed matters with his comments last week so is showing terrible leadership. As for his invisible, mute co-leader who is just there to make up the equality quota... Well I'd love for her to find a backbone and vocal chords.

The Green conference is going to be interesting. It is now three days since Green TAs claimed that GWD would be banned from the conference, but nothing has happened. It looks like the pesky law against discrimination may have prevented them.

However the TAs were threatening direct action if GWD turned up and they have form it seems someone has been vandalising the Green women's stall for three years! More details in Greens thread:

29. Out of interest on 28th August 2025 I viewed a random selection of Mr Wedell’s posts on the social media site X between 8th – 27th August 2025 and archived the results. In my view, these support the general assertions I make above. These are set out in an Appendix below.

Very sadly, on September 10th 2025 Mr Weddell gave what I consider the clearest indication of his deliberate misuse of social media to attract attention, by declaring after the public and filmed murder of US conservative activist Charlie Kirk that he was a ‘fascist cunt. Good riddance’ Sophie Molly 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ on X: "Charlie Kirk was fascist cunt. Good riddance." / X.

This comment attracted widespread revulsion and was removed by ‘X’ as a violation of its terms of services. Mr Weddell however continued to post to his Bluesky account that ‘free speech crybabies’ were offended by his post.

It is very difficult for me to reconcile the picture painted by the Good Law Project of Mr Weddell as a fragile and vulnerable victim of online harassment when it appears clear to me that he glories in the attention he receives from frankly repulsive public statements.

It really is popcorn season and despite being very happy about the sunshine I'm also very aware of the bravery (and toll) of the people doing the pointing. They are truly awesome

Do we think Zack Polanski will capitulate regarding to the TRAs regarding the Green Women's Declaration having a stall? Or perhaps he will instead show his disdain for these bothersome women by having a photoshoot outside with a ginormous progress flag 🤔

The Mr Weddell GLP case will never hit court imo.

Its 5 days since the news of the stall dropped and nothing has happened yet. It is looking likely the Green leadership have realised they can't stop it without doing something illegal.

Weddell / GLP have filed a complaint about Sarah Philllimore with the Bar Standards Authority. So it was never going to go to court, and is already in process. I doubt they'll win though.
