Greens internal drama warms up

New long article looking at the drama inside the Greens over biology suddenly existing again despite their best efforts.

How the Green Party forgot the environment and was torn apart by trans rows
It was a party united by a single mission – to save the planet. But now the gender identity debate has left it divided and in chaos

https://archive.is/TOlNx

The article is already out of date as Zack Polanski of hypnotic breasts fame has just launched a leadership bid against Deyner and Ramsey.

Emma Bateman
It's no secret that big boobs Polanski wants the top job. He is a student politics slogan churner, a self server who distains women and wants misgendering misdemeanours to be grounds for expulsion from the Greens.
He is "LGB with the T"
Still NO DEBATE!

Pro-women Greens article on his background:;
https://concernedgreens.uk/watchlist/zack-polanski/

The existence of biology is likely to be a significant part of the leadership contest for sure so interesting to watch .

Ali Shahrar has launched another legal challenge against the Greens. Gardening needed.

May 27th is the date for Emma Bateman's legal hearing against the Greens.

On May 27th I am in court against Green Party in a case which will expose the contorted lengths the Greens go to in order to shut women up.

It isn't going to go well for the Greens given the Supreme Court ruling. This could be key moment in seeing the ruling's effect on politics and directly impact the leadership contest. It will also be probably be infuriating and hilarious in equal measure.

I bet he hasn't and is just windbagging

Yes, Windy has joined the Green Party. He tweeted it at the time and the TRAs in the party were falling over themselves to welcome him.

Well I guess he fits in perfectly with old Hypnotits.

Like I said, hilarious 😂 are they aware of some of his more spicy older tweets?

Way to go, Scottish Greens. Literally.

Little bit of forced teaming going on too - committed environmentalist? - well you have to believe TWAW too.

Compare with no 'LGB without the T'

Conference drama continues

No sign yet that GWD has been excluded from conference yet despite confident assertions from TAs inside the party yesterday that there would be a vote to do this today. The TAs are going frantic. There have been calls for direct action if the stall is set up.

Green Baroness Jenny Jones meanwhile has weighed in as have others. Some key tweets

Hi Frankadlingtons

Are you saying women don't have equal rights with other groups?
That's absolutely ungreen and unworthy of you.

I am extremely concerned by this decision which needs to be overturned immediately.

As members we have clearly expressed our solidarity with the trans and LGBTIQA+ community.
The Green Party must leave no doubt about its position.

Marjorie Hutchins

Women who correctly understood the law (as vindicated by Supreme Court ruling) & advocated for women's rights & safeguarding were bullied by opponents in Green Party

Naomi would like all such women banned from conference

Replying to @GreenJennyJones and @Frankadlingtons
Jenny, all the leaders of GWD have been expelled by the party following robust disciplinary action. It is inappropriate for them to attend our conference.

Finn White

The GWD are not the group in the party that represents women. That is green party women, who will definitely have a stall.greenjennyjones
do you really think a group which is led by people who've been expelled from our party ought to have a stall at our conference?

: Care should be taken when announcing who may and may not have been expelled from the Green Party, this is confidential information and furthermore may also not be the exact case. This could add to the legal cases the Green Party are defending.

Green Party Women #ForWomenAndPlanet

Finn, we endeavour to represent women & girls
Yes, we do have a stall every year
Very popular with visitors++
But petty vandalism 3 years in a row
So the last 2 years we've had an arrangement with security to keep an eye out for us & we have to pack everything up each night

In 2022, 2 members of TheGreenParty Executive said working with GC members was akin to working with the KKK. 1 of them, a councillor, is still on the Executive. The Party is fanatical in opposing women's rights, which is why I am taking them to court where they will lose.

So the drama has now revealed that the Green women's stall at conference has been vandalised and extra security has been needed. This is appalling!

IndiaWilloughby You accuse me of cowardice, but you want to ban women from attending TheGreenParty conference because we have opinions that you don't like.
It is cowardly to insist that you should control what women discuss.

Why do you people never say ‘terfs’ or ‘gender critical’s’? 🤷‍♀️ As a woman I don’t want all women banned from the Greens. What a hysterical thing to say. I - and most of the party - want TERFS banned. Specifically. You do not own all women

Well that’s going to simplify voting choices for a lot of Scots, isn’t it?

baggle · 10/09/2025 10:10

I don't get why people have such an irrational attachment to the Greens. Personally if I found myself in a party where self-righteous sexism had ended up becoming the main political cause instead of what it'd originally been founded upon, I would leave and never look back.

Let this party of gender cranks run themselves into the ground. They've done nothing positive for the environment anyway, it's a failed project.

ArabellaScott · 10/09/2025 10:17

Because many people believe the environment is important and needs to be protected, and not a single other party is showing the slightest sign of giving a fuck.

Yes, and because in other ways the main parties are being so crap. Minority parties don’t get the same exposure for their crapness because it’s not affecting peoples lives.

I’d love to be able to vote for a pragmatic, grownup environmentalism-focussed Green Party (insofar as I understand their policies many of them seem no more realistic and well thought through or desirable than bloody Farage’s).

Wow, that is just mindboggling. How politically un-astute do you have to be to tell voters not to vote for your party if they don't follow a niche, unevidenced belief system? What about "the environment is our priority and we welcome anyone who wants to join, of course assuming they abide by the rules and treat others with respect" or similar. She walked right into that.

Seems the Bristol Green Councillors had a tantrum last night when questions were raised on biological sex. 18 walked out. Seems fair to say that Councillors who are unwilling to listen to others, shouldn’t be Councillors.

Now two days since Green TAs claimed that GWD would be banned from the conference immediately.

Looking like someone in the Greens knows the law for a change.

Shahrar Ali has issued an update on his legal case. Gardening needed.

Shahrar Ali
UPDATE: I have Instructed My Lawyers to Press Ahead with GC Discrimination and Victimisation Claim against Green Party: Call for Legal Funds

Our Letter Before Action was Served on 11 July 2025. Some two months on the Green Party has dismally failed to engage in any meaningful response to date. This is despite our having agreed to a deadline extension request from them, which has since passed.

I have instructed my legal team to press ahead with the Claim against the Green Party of England and Wales for Gender Critical Discrimination and Victimisation. I seek your financial support once again to assist me in the business of completing this crucial phase of litigation. Some costs have already been borne, and I am looking to raise a further £5,000 by the end of September 2025. The Claim form fee represents around half this amount.

In the first claim, which succeeded, the behaviour of the Green Party was typified by shenanigans at numerous stages of litigation. It was clear to me that the select few driving the litigation tactics from within the Green Party did not have the best interests of the party at heart. Two applications from this Defendant, which I can only describe as wrecking, were dismissed by the Judge. We are wised up and determined, that’s not new. When I see bad faith tactics in evidence that only makes my resolve all the greater. In the first litigation, party fanatics, including on Green Party Executive, must have believed that they could grind me down. Some executive members warned them against such reckless conduct and three officers later served as witnesses on my behalf. Nobody should be under any illusion about my resolve and that of my world class legal team.

Litigation successes in the wider UK have continued to amass since I won my first litigation in 2024. No organisation in their right mind would dream of further discriminating against a member who had just beaten them in court on substantially the same grounds and in that historic context. Thank you for your continued support. I will never forget the help which each one of you have committed in my hours of need. Please continue to stand by me and I will not fail you. The future of politics and the very fabric of our liberal democracy is at stake when ideological fanatics think they can get away with unlawful discrimination and victimisation with impunity. They are not fit to govern. Nor those who stand idly by or cheer them on, burying their head in the sand.

I suspect it’s Sultana that’s more likely to be forced out. Maybe she’ll flounce off to the Greens?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 14/09/2025 14:08

Goodness, that was a speedy deletion! I can’t even remember reading anything contentious!

SionnachRuadh · 14/09/2025 14:46

Maybe Mothin would be more at home with Corbyn, and Sultana would be more at home as Zack's co-leader, if he were willing to share the spotlight.

“It feels like there is a constituency around the world right now, that started in America, largely funded by fossil fuel companies in terms of the gender critical movement, that will stop at nothing to remove trans people from our society or stop them accessing basic services,” he said.

Dear god, he's utterly bonkers (or maybe an utterly cynical sociopath saying what he knows the people who vote for him want to hear).

Speaking as someone who would undoubtedly be considered Woke by the segment of society that uses "Woke" as an insult, this really hits home just how much the movement that for want of a better term I'll use "The Omnicause" has coalesced from a loosely connected group of causes that are sympathetic to each other due to shared values into something genuinely cult-like in how it applies a simplistic ideology/mythology of Good Things and Bad Things to explain and structure society.

These people genuinely believe their Bad Things are all linked together and that they have a - again for want of a better word - manifest moral mission to combine forces to force society into the Good Things and away from the Bad Things by any means necessary.

I fear they have been so busy making sure they spot the next Nazism rising from the right that they forget to look at the times dictators, pograms and terror rose on the Left so they think being of the Left makes them immune from evil.

you are right about the omnicause and it explains such baffling things as 'queers for Palestine' or whatever they call themselves

finallygettingit · 14/09/2025 21:15

...and what what what? India Whilloughby has joined the Green Party? wonder what his reasons are?

fromorbit · 14/09/2025 23:01

SionnachRuadh · 14/09/2025 14:46

Maybe Mothin would be more at home with Corbyn, and Sultana would be more at home as Zack's co-leader, if he were willing to share the spotlight.

That would make more sense. However the fact that both parties are hurtling towards a crisis I think is inevitable.

With Ali Shahrar's case and Emma Bateman's and the Green Conference where it still seems GWD still has a stall and members like Windy and Ali Mothin the cracks are growing wider.
