Just wondering if anyone is following this on TT. It’s quite bizarre. The first witness attended the Trans Training session which I gather is where the discrimination stems (see attached statement) and has been questioned by AM the barrister for the police. AM is referencing the Wikipedia page of Kellie Jay Keen as evidence. Apparently wiki is not anti gender critical. 🤷🏻‍♀️. It seems to be covering a whole host of other stuff too - quite an eye opener.

Interesting. Maybe media attention will make them behave differently in court.

Here is the Archive version. You can often find one if you go to https://archive.ph/ & search for saved snapshot entering the URL for Telegraph, Times or other paywalled website.

This is so very bizarre it was more like a trans rights rally rather than an informative or educational seminar.

I cannot get my head around why the senior police would deem it something that should be provided in works time.

Again the defence seems to be thus far that the witness and anyone associated with GC views is a right wing fascist.

Also to add i do not think that a meeting of gender critical police booing and hissing about, i dunno erm Butler or some other such twat would be an appropriate works time activity either.

its just plain strange.

The boo and hissing reaction caught my attention too, it makes me glad that we don't arm our police service, can you image what it would be like, if such braindead juveniles were allowed onto the streets with guns.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 12/03/2025 08:52

It's not appropriate for any public service to put on these types of events.

Hairyesterdaygonetoday · 12/03/2025 09:17

On another thread, a woman mentions that police wouldn’t come to hospital to take a statement from her after she was injured by a hit and run driver. They said she had to come to the police station. She was in bed with broken limbs!

But yes, plenty of time to hassle people who have made rude comments on Twix, or attend propaganda sessions by pressure groups 🙄

OuterSpaceCadet · 12/03/2025 09:33

Jfc

The Met, who have an institutional misogyny problem. Inviting in speakers to educate their staff on the new faux progressive misogyny. Just to make sure misogyny is covered from all angles, right?

WelshSerafina · 12/03/2025 10:30

Women’s Rights Network covered this event at the time in 2033 and wrote to the Met too. They flagged it up initially and broke the story. Letter to Met Commissioner in this thread. Looks like they had their info from a number of sources.

They had the brush off from the Met.

Why do the police need to celebrate 'Trans Day of Visibility' or any other day of visibility?

The job of the police is the prevention and detection of crime, just fucking get on with doing that instead of wasting time on all this other nonsense.

Blimey. Melanie Newman's statement is a depressing read. If ever I needed convincing that the Met is an institutionally captured misogynistic organisation then this is it.

GufferyWooWoo · 12/03/2025 13:35

Goodness me; "institutional brainwashing" is something of an understatement. I can see why the Met would have preferred this to be kept out of the public eye. Melanie's statement is an eye-opener.

Do we know who else is going to be called?

TheywontletmehavethenameIwant · 12/03/2025 14:10

This is good stuff, not for the women who have had to put with it for years of course, I have nothing but sympathy for them and what they've been and are still going through. But the fact that this is all now public knowledge and a matter of public record is brilliant. We needed to shine the light but this case is like a supernova. All of the nasty, vicious, spite that is behind this ideology is on full display. As GufferyWooWoo posted above no wonder the Met wanted to keep this under wraps, thanks to those who are fighting this travesty. 👏

Toseland · 12/03/2025 15:08

I've only just skimmed through the PDF and I'm ABSOLUTELY FUCKING FURIOUS! The hours of training. Hissing at Posie's name being mentioned?! The chosen advisors!! Sharing tips for covering up their "dodgy photos"?!!!!!!!
So they do know about Let Women Speak and they have chosen not to police or protect the women, leaving the women to have to do this themselves at their own expense.
That is my last part of any respect for the Police gone - I now have none and I can see they are totally anti-women and children.

DontTellMeWhat2Do · 12/03/2025 15:24

Whatever people may think of KJK (and I dont agree with everything she says myself), this training and reactions were clearly inappropriate.
What is KJK saying about it anyway? Is she a witness?

MrsOvertonsWindow · 12/03/2025 15:38

Good grief - Melanie Newman's statement! The complete saturation of the Met with the worst extreme transactivism, the open contempt for women and men who understand facts, science & safeguarding along with the complete failure of management to recognise that they're enabling a toxic political movement aimed at removing women's rights and suppressing free speech.

No wonder they can't be arsed to tackle crime that actually effects citizens when so many are caught up with these anti social, irrelevant beliefs.

It highlights the lack of integrity and ethics at the very top of policing that they're enabling this shambles.

It's jaw dropping. Well done Melanie.

@Fgfgfg hi would you mind posting a link to thread reader for today please

Appalonia · 12/03/2025 21:03

This needs to be FRONT PAGE NEWS just how brainwashed the Met Police have been. It's appalling! God I hope she wins this case. You know what, a few years ago, it was really bewildering, how the police were acting about this issue, but now it all makes sense..

That is my last part of any respect for the Police gone - I now have none and I can see they are totally anti-women and children.

This all looks like proof that they have deliberately chosen not to protect LWS. despite their wishy washy excuses of 'we don't know if anything will happen' when KJK told them they needed protection. The police abandoned them last February in Nottingham and it remains to be seen if they will provide any protection when LWS return later this month.
Surely now that it is public record that the police are biased and hostile towards KJK and LWS, (hissing during a training event when her name was mentioned) they won't be able to abandon them again. Imagine if women are attacked at the next meeting due to the Police's lack of action.

Appalonia · 12/03/2025 21:40

There weren't any police at Birmingham LWS initially either, and there were hundreds of TRAs, I was there and it was bloody scary!

With the level of misogyny evident in the police, especially the Met, I guess it's no surprise that they are embracing such a misogynistic movement. It gives them an excuse to show disregard, even contempt, for women while claiming to be progressive and public-spirited.

GufferyWooWoo · 13/03/2025 12:58

Is anybody following this? After days of Scottish ET's I am finding this a little hard to follow. I've just had a quick scan through TT from this morning (so probably have the wrong end of the stick) and the defence appears to be:

-The complaint form wasn't filled in correctly (so okay to ignore it)

  • No employees were complained about (so not the Met's problem)
  • Speakers weren't necessarily paid to appear (so it doesn't count)
  • Of 5,000 staff in Met <100 attended (so hardly anybody was indoctrinated)
  • Joe Public can also be just as rude to PCs (so women should be fine with encountering similar misogyny in the office)

NC is starting after lunch

IDareSay · 13/03/2025 13:16

I think you are close enough there @GufferyWooWoo , that's how I'm reading it too.
