NHS Fife tries to silence nurse - Sandie Peggie vs NHS Fife Health Board - thread #2

Sandie Peggie, a nurse at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy (VH), has brought claims in the employment tribunal against her employer; Fife Health Board (the Board) and another employee, Dr B Upton. Ms Peggie’s claims are of sexual harassment, harassment related to a protected belief, indirect discrimination and victimisation. Dr Upton claims to be a transwoman, that is observed as male at birth but asserting a female gender identity.

The Employment Tribunal hearing started on Monday 3 January 2025 and is expected to continue for 2 weeks.

Bloody hell, can't hear a word from panel.

The sound quality problem is because the speakers are speaking away from their microphones.

I can't join as an observer. Only the audio and video option works for me.

NCs typing is omnipresent.

I'm glad I'm late logging in if the sound is so bad, I haven't missed much.

I wonder if the sound will even be picked up for the recordings? I would think if we can't hear what is being said the recorders will also struggle.

SP days she was speaking to Esther informally, was hoping she would seek advice and speak to someone in management or HR

I think the judge is trying to work out what happened when from his questions that i can make out.

Asking when conversation with Louise took place. SP thinks between the middle of the first two incidences? around end of September.

Moves on to when a further discussion took place. SP says after the second incident judge says so early to mid November..what words did Esther say

SP asked her what outcome was rather had shaken to equality and diversity, sounds gone again.

I'm hoping for some iconic one liners from SP, like: I'm less transphobic, more ' couldn't give a shit'
