The “women’s march” that’s all about the men.

I couldn’t see a thread about this, but I’m just here to share how annoying it is to see a so-called women’s march so concerned with placating men. This is the march in January.

As well as the highly predictable “this is for all women” (meaning including the ones who are men) and the ‘we don’t tolerate transphobia’ (meaning any concept of sex-based oppression), the Facebook group is full of posts reassuring men that of course they’re welcome and it’s not all men and obviously “not my Nigel”. It’s infuriating. Why do people do this?

The 'swinging lifestyle' people could probably pull a crowd.

It’s actually quite heartening, to look back on that daft Grazia article and realise how positively retro it sounds!

Remember when every other glossy magazine column was written by Munroe Bergdorf, Shon Faye, Paris Lees, Juno Dawson, Owl/Ugla Stefania et al?

I do wonder why one of the original leads has now stepped down, couldn't blame her. The million women march seems a lot better and is strictly women only marching. Trans and men are advised to cheer them on from the sidelines as the march would lose its meaning if it wasn't kept women only. They aren't threatening to belt anyone either 😂😂

One in London and they are arranging them elsewhere too. I think they are organising for Scotland too. It is in February. You can find them on X and FB

Its been a very long time since I went on a march, although I nearly got knocked over by Michael Foot on a march in Swansea on one occasion. I will see if I can get to this!

The million women march? There is going to be one in Glasgow and I have put my name forward to helping.

Someone told me it was but maybe not. I was hoping they would still go ahead but that they would stop being so narrow minded.

Looks like they can't recruit enough volunteers, funny that? 😜

I don't honestly know.

The million women march is women only. Only women and children allowed to march. They believe if they let anyone else then the message will be lost. Look them up 😊

Well no much wonder they can't recruit volunteers when they actively block women.

Amazing what they are doing and not losing the importance of the march. So well organised with a clear message. The amount of high level organisation in it already. All first stage things are done! So much press / news coverage too. Get involved if you can 😊 No one threatening to "belt TERFs" or blocking you for an opinion!

And you can even freely speak about any concerning matters with children....

There was something on their Facebook that said biological women only. It was remarkably clear.
