Waiter, there's a chipmunk in my hot chocolate!

"I'm so sorry, madam, put your feet up & relax & we'll bring you as many hot chocolates as you want. Just don't tell Environmental Health, OK?"

After 17 attempts to get the AI to give me a seagull with a gerbil tail hanging out of its beak, I admit defeat.

Best I could do!

Chipmunk? Never saw it before in my life, guvnor...

lcakethereforeIam · 26/11/2024 18:28

It's not a chipmunk, it's a Siberian hamster.

It's not a chipmunk, it's a Siberian hamster.

Which explains why I didn't see a chipmunk!

ErrolTheDragon · 26/11/2024 18:38

I don't think a magpie would complain about any small rodent in its drink.

....poor unsuspecting rodent.

Yep, that's the sort of thing I was going for.

Here's the sort of nonsense I got.

Those are hilarious 😂

I think a rodent in a gull's drink would be a garnish. Like an olive in a martini.

Well.this is clearly ridiculous as seagulls only eat chips, pasties and tourist's sandwiches.

I prefer my hot chocolate to taste of hot chocolate though, not rodent. I'll have the Siberian thingummy on the side, please.

FuzzyPuffling · 26/11/2024 19:00

And I'm feeling very sad for all.those sacrificial gerbils.

Magpiecomplex · 26/11/2024 19:04

It's for the greater good, Fuzzy.

Bonus points to anyone who just muttered "the greater good" in a monotone.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 26/11/2024 19:05

Those gerbils all just met with... an accident.

Replying to Fuzzy:

What? Just because I fed a few gerbils to a few seagulls - it was Errol's idea, anyway! Look:

DH once got suckered by a seagull. He saw a one legged seagull (you can already see where this is going, can't you?), and decided to feed the poor thing. Seagull gave him a withering look, unfolded its other leg, grabbed the food and scarpered.

Don't blame me for knowing about gulls!

I hate to break it to you but some of them eat puffins and pufflings too, given half a chance.

If you visit the island of Lunga in the Hebrides, you can lie on a grassy cliff top just a few feet from puffins busy about their burrows. They apparently like having people there as it keeps the black backed gulls away.

(Highly recommended, boat trip from Mull via Staffa to see fingals cave, take overtrousers so you can lie down comfortably on damp grass.

lcakethereforeIam · 26/11/2024 19:45

Just don't google Skomer rabbits 😨

Could I have a gin, bar gerbil? A large one...and keep them coming.

Magpiecomplex · 26/11/2024 19:59

Not sure why you're wearing a pinny, Cake, but will this do?

I may have to change my name to " Fuzzy Giant Leopard".
