For Alison. I respectfully decline to illustrate the Dean's escaping bosom; indeed I believe the AI would refuse to do it & probably put me on some kind of watch list.

I just want to announce that I now own a heated blanket.

These are possibly the best inventions ever. I have mine on at the moment. Snuggly!

ErrolTheDragon · 25/11/2024 19:37

I have an electric under blanket which I very much appreciate now I no longer have a canine bed warmer.

We got heated throws for the living room but I don't think I've ever needed to plug mine in.

Very wise, they're not for the faint hearted.

Magpiecomplex · 25/11/2024 19:47

I'm with Dean. Generously endowed with bosom, but would prefer it to stay where I put it.

I'm intrigued by the harp/bass viol combo one of those blokes is playing. I suspect you'd need to be an octopus to do it justice though. Or maybe two octopuses.

Are they blokes?? I thought AI had gone all Stephen Gordon on us. I'm a bit disappointed now.😒
And as far as the egregious boobage is concerned, it just goes to show that too much of a good thing is too much of a good thing😏

Magpiecomplex · 25/11/2024 20:35

Egregious boobage has one small benefit. Occasionally it's quite amusing to put cleavage on display and watch all the straight men in the vicinity lose the capacity for rational thought. 🤣

Bannedontherun · 25/11/2024 20:58

Having small boobs I never experienced this sort of attention until they grew due to breast feeding i was quite startled how mammary obsessed men are.

AlisonDonut · 25/11/2024 22:01

My cat hasn't been anywhere near my bed in months. He is now settling himself with me on this heated blankie for the night. He just knows things.

The only and I mean, only, reason I own various wraps and ponchos and shawls was to enable me to get on the train when I worked in London, and slip off my bra and slide it down my sleeve into my rucksack because by the end of the day, my norks couldn't stand the strain of being held at a weird angle in a bra. I've not worn one since the day they announced the Canary Wharf COVID case when we all ended a meeting and went home.

Bannedontherun · 25/11/2024 22:39

Burning the bra there was a reason for that as a literal activity

ErrolTheDragon · 25/11/2024 22:44

Without a decent bra I'd have to live in a bungalow and give up hill walking, so I see the practical supportive type more as an instrument for women's liberation than of oppression

And sadly, these days I need one to even up my once perfectly symmetrical & now cancer-ravaged boob/s. I thought I could get reconstruction on the NHS but the consultant (female) said no, I'd have to go private & they'd reduce me to match.😥Apparently it's seen as cosmetic surgery. This is not the impression of reconstructive surgery I had over the years.

OP posts:
Bannedontherun · 25/11/2024 22:58

@ifIwerenotanandroid am truly shocked, in the past NHS reconstructions were 95% cancer patients

larklane17 · 25/11/2024 22:58

@ifIwerenotanandroid I didn't know.Flowers I'm really so sorry, and also very angry to hear what she said to you.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 25/11/2024 23:03

Thanks, Banned & Lark. I don't understand it, I must say. Maybe I should look into it further.

I demonstrated that manoeuvre recently to DH & he thinks it's some sort of magic trick. (I can't believe he got to his age without knowing about it).

There's a hilarious David Sedaris talk on it - I'll see if I can work out which one.

Perhaps this is not the place or time, but have a chat to Macmillan if you havent already done so. They were really good with me over a relative's situation. I'll just leave this here and respect your privacy. Apologies if you've already done so. Just know we care.

Breast reconstruction

Breast reconstruction uses surgery to make a new breast shape. You may have reconstruction after an operation to remove a breast (mastectomy) to treat breast cancer.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 25/11/2024 23:28

Thank you, dear. I should rouse myself & do something about it if at all possible.

Sorry to hear about your relative.💐

And now, to say thank you for the info & to get us back on track at the Bluey, please accept your choice of bouquet from the following...

Those roses on the bottom left are very appealing! I do love a rose!

ifIwerenotanandroid · 25/11/2024 23:47

They're yours, along with the matching eucalyptus & rodents.

OP posts:
larklane17 · 25/11/2024 23:57

Well, I'm very grateful indeed, that's such a lovely surprise. I'm quite fond of eucalyptus. I've two in the garden.

Perhaps the rodents might enjoy a stroll around the garden on this fine wet and wndy night?
