So as has been mentioned on threads about the Darlington nurses a nurse is sueing NHS Fife over its trans staff policy.
The poor nurse was forced to get changed infront of a man in the female changing facilities, when she complained about it she was 1st told to change in a cupboard if she didn't like it, then they tried to bully her into swapping shifts so she didn't work with the man in question (she wouldn't), then they wanted her to move hospital (again she refused) so then they suspended her without pay for months until her solicitor got involved and now they are trying to gag her by insisting that the court case (starts in February) must be held in secret (I wonder why) and will be in crt next month asking to restrict reporting on the case.

This case is really important in Scotland because the trans staff policy that's going on trial in this case is the Scottish government's own policy used in all public sector organisations in Scotland and works on self id. So when this case is won it will finally kill the Scottish government's self id policy in all public bodies

It's because it's a MAN! MEN in women's spaces is inherently threatening!

There certainly are in my small, cramped, busy changing room which is used by about 60 female staff.
Quite a few choose to change in the shower cubicle, presumably for privacy.
So far it is all women. 🤞

SP is responsible for depriving the hospital of a good doctor for 2 months but depriving the hospital of a good nurse is just fine?

Do you have to check people's genitals to know what sex they are? That must be awful for you. Most of us can tell on sight.

A couple of posters seem to use it quite frequently, although I've not seen much of them lately. (Thank goodness)

It suggests a rather unhealthy porn obsession to me. Surely the hip to shoulder ratio, gait, arm length and hand size and overall height and male physical build, relative width of pelvis etc are more immediately obvious? Let's not forget that you can tell male skeletons from female skeletons - the two different sex types of bodies and builds look entirely different.

No, of course not, because people don't have gender.

Living people may or may not have a gender. I don't have one, but I know people who do.

Dead people don't have gender at all, just like they don't have other parts of their personality. Because of the not being alive.

I don't believe for one second he made those notes at the time. I suspect a more thorough investigation of his phone would show these notes were typed and added at a later date.

People have a sex. And a personality. "Gender identity" is nothing more than a collection of personality traits and interests that someone ascribes to a particular sex. And more importantly, these traits are not the same across cultural identities, which makes the concept of gender identity as a "thing" even more ridiculous

I identify as an Engineer. The traits and attributes and interests that are considered 'Engineery' also vary widely, depending on social and cultural context. It's still an identity that I am attached to, even if it's hard to pin down exactly what it is in general terms to encompass all Engineer-Identified People. Even if some or most people don't believe Engineer is a thing that exists or should exist, it's real and meaningful to me.
ETA so, I'm quite sympathetic to people who have some kind of identity that they are attached to. I probably don't want to hear you (royal you) go on and on about it, but it might be interesting to some extent.
