NHS Fife tries to silence nurse

So as has been mentioned on threads about the Darlington nurses a nurse is sueing NHS Fife over its trans staff policy.
The poor nurse was forced to get changed infront of a man in the female changing facilities, when she complained about it she was 1st told to change in a cupboard if she didn't like it, then they tried to bully her into swapping shifts so she didn't work with the man in question (she wouldn't), then they wanted her to move hospital (again she refused) so then they suspended her without pay for months until her solicitor got involved and now they are trying to gag her by insisting that the court case (starts in February) must be held in secret (I wonder why) and will be in crt next month asking to restrict reporting on the case.

This case is really important in Scotland because the trans staff policy that's going on trial in this case is the Scottish government's own policy used in all public sector organisations in Scotland and works on self id. So when this case is won it will finally kill the Scottish government's self id policy in all public bodies

The lazy argument that people change their names all the time doesn't wash. They do, I have done on marriage, but I produce my marriage certificate to show the change. What evidence did Theodore Upton produce? Non, it seems.

Russell had Peggie over Peggie calling Upton "a man", but Peggie responded that it was completely relevant in the circumstances.

It's the truth - great answer in a court case.

Even JR herself automatically called him a ‘he’. She wasn’t concentrating on trying to refer to him as a ‘she’.

Peggie is doing really well here in pointing out that her dignity is important too, especially when she's in a changing room.

TW are men is a reality based belief.

Everything that SR is throwing at SP could be turned around to BU.

I really hope they get to not only is it a belief it is scientific fact.

That a man can become a woman is a religious / political belief. And not scientific fact.

How can JR argue that TW are men is political but not TW are women?

I hope she's undermining her own argument here.

The only way she's not is if the Judge doesn't believe women are entitled to equal human rights to men.

I think Russell expected this part to go much more favourably than it has.

The problem is for Russel that it is very easy for Peggy to be completely straightforward, and answer Russels convoluted questions simply. Peggy is also doing well at ignoring Russels massive pause after every question.

I will point out that both NC and Peggie have been referring to Dr Upton as Beth (or certainly TT have been recording it so)

Chromosomes are scientific fact. Why is scientific fact intrusive?

Beth could have been really kind and shown true sympathy by not changing in the women's changing room. But hey ho!
