There are more mature gentlemen who frequent the Staunch Ally, you know. Their clothes sense is a bit off, but their hearts are in the right place. And some of them are fanatical about custard.

Excuuuuse meeee but I was about to identify as the helicopter on the left - the one with the Fenestron System Anti-torque Rotor - but apparently only men know about helicopters😡
I'll be sulking in a corner somewhere, if anybody's interested. <sniff>

I'm so sorry, Marie! Now that I know, you are of course the Bluestocking's official helicopter pilot & dachshund/beetle rescuer.

Found some artists' impressions of the new Bluestocking banqueting hall. I do hope there's cheese, as well as puddings

Edited

That's quite magnificent!

Unfortunately, work is progressing slowly...

It'd go faster if they stuck to building rather than dabbling in whatever sort of generic engineering resulted in the goat in the third picture.Shock

Fear not, bold women of the bluestocking pub! The unreality zone is restored immediately (somebody switched it off, see Android after the banquet, you know who you are) - and the new banqueting hall will be ready by midnight tonight. Hurrah!

I do apologise for the AI continually letting men in. It's a non-stop effort trying to stop them barging through. They seem to demand access to our spaces for some reason

ifIwerenotanandroid · 30/09/2024 23:57

And are those chipmunks?

Aghhh forgot to do the gas and meter readings. Just nipping to The puddle of reality pub, back in five!

In our house it's now Weaselmas, the 31st September. Yesterday was All Liar's Eve.

Don't ask.

Sorry Android, those WERE chipmunks. The AI has been at the absinthe. Anyway, here we are! I'm afraid the photographer was delayed, but the party started at one minute to midnight.

The cake with the candles appears to be levitating.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 01/10/2024 00:10

Still loving the 'floor cardigan' thread.

I once drained peas in a sieve, only it was the wrong way round. Many years ago, as I was making a roast dinner, I * carefully *drained the sprouts & promptly threw them in the bin.

Best place for them.

You can't beat a levitating cake. They taste very light and airy, with a touch of sweetness.

erm... Happy Weaselmas I think!

Have I missed much? The cats decided they wanted a late supper whilst I was in the kitchen.

Can you levitate it in my direction, just give it a small push to the left. Thanks

Are any of them clean-shaven? Asking for a friend...

Igmum · 01/10/2024 07:14

Everyone appears to be alarmingly slender, young and dressed up. Is there a corner for middle aged fat women in M&S elasticated waists? (Asking for a friend)

My thoughts exactly.
Also for a friend, obviously.

Has anyone got a link to the floor cardigan thread?

DeanElderberry · 01/10/2024 07:39

Too many cheekbones and too much hair product all round, not enough evidence of character, experience and good dinners. Women and the superfluous men.

That image with the chipmunks has some disturbing details - something badly wrong with the legs of the women to the left, an apparently absent ribcage for the woman in yellow beside the cake and a not human face just behind her.

AlisonDonut · 01/10/2024 07:56

I don't what you lot were thinking, I was putting them to work on the mahoosive spiky hedge that keeps the riff raff out. Those cheekbones needed to be put to good use.
