Not linking to DM (clicks) but an article on the app today talks about how one NHS trust has said that hormone fuelled milk produced by transwomen is equally as good for baby as breastmilk produced by women.

The director says the terminology Human Milk should be used as both milk types are equal.

In the letter, the Medical Director claims 'there is clear and overwhelming evidence that human milk is the ideal food for infants', referring to both breast milk and the 'induced lactation' of biological men

Ffs these poor babies.

The £££££ that has been thrown in faking shit for men so they can cosplay womanhood while actual disease and illness is left to fundraise for its own research is sickening.

I've saved all his "notes" as I suspect the block button to be used freely soon.

I've commented to the effect that he doesn't know the difference between HRT and cross sex hormones and hope that he isn't a practising doctor.

‘ In fact, we know that trans women can successfully breastfeed their children – and that the milk they produce can, at the very least, be just as nutritious as that produced by the birthing parent. ‘

this from pink news.https://www.thepinknews.com/2024/02/19/trans-women-breastfeeding-explainer-research/

oh look, the milk they produce can, at the very least be just as nutritious as that produced by the birthing parent.
so they are even better at producing milk than us.

Trans dad told by trolls he's less of a man for breastfeeding his son

A trans dad has aired the hate he receives from online haters and the trans community for breastfeeding his baby.

From Bosky on the other thread but not posted here yet (thanks Bosky) :

This article by Children of Transitioners is shocking! NHS Safeguarding is deliberately ignoring information that COT has brought to its attention. This needs to be raised in Parliament.

COT wrote to NHS Safeguarding nine months ago about the NHS promoting and enabling sexual and physical abuse of babies and psychological abuse of older children of transitioners and have still not had a reply!

See full article to read email to NHS Safeguarding - it contains terms and information that would probably get this post deleted:

And Bosky is right. It would indeed help safeguard children affected if mumsnetters could contact their MP.

That's a great letter.

SinnerBoy · 25/02/2024 05:45

Yes, it pulls no punches.

Meanwhile, hospitals near me (not UK), have issued directives counselling against the use of fennel tea, one of the oldest medicinal herbs in the world, because of a potential to cause liver cancer.

So men can feed their babies with milk created by the use of artificial hormones and restricted drugs but women shouldn't drink fennel tea.

(Decree originally issued by the European Medicines Agency in 2013, there have been many articles disputing the conclusions... I have no idea what has triggered these hospital directives because up until this year, most breastfeeding women have been advised to drink fennel tea and it is often offered to babies with several sources suggesting this from one week old.)
