"Human Milk" ffs

Not linking to DM (clicks) but an article on the app today talks about how one NHS trust has said that hormone fuelled milk produced by transwomen is equally as good for baby as breastmilk produced by women.

The director says the terminology Human Milk should be used as both milk types are equal.

In the letter, the Medical Director claims 'there is clear and overwhelming evidence that human milk is the ideal food for infants', referring to both breast milk and the 'induced lactation' of biological men

Ffs these poor babies.

The £££££ that has been thrown in faking shit for men so they can cosplay womanhood while actual disease and illness is left to fundraise for its own research is sickening.

While I'm on a roll, the new genetic evidence coming out of the latest dna sequencing projects is casting a lot of doubt on the assumed gender roles in the EEA (environment of evolutionary adaptation). It seems men did indeed do some caring functions and women hunted as well as gathered. It's too complicated for ms to really understand why as I'm not a geneticist but it is causing some waves.

I am gc and believe in sex BTW.

God almighty - we really are well and truly through the looking glass, aren't we?

The deliberate obfuscation of the facts, the intentional blurring of the meanings of words, the way this has gone viral as a "fact", despite having being been calculatedly misrepresented - and that no-one who knows this has even attempted to clarify the inaccuracies and downright fallacies presented as realities is both shocking and terrifying!

How many children are going to be permanently damaged in body and mind because of this pernicious cult?

Indeed ESV

All because some groups have chosen to take 2 case studies where the substance has been partially, and inadequately analysed.

Gosh... what high standards of care this NHS trust believes it has. This is gross incompetence.

Oh wow thanks for sharing that.

I don't think I've read a long piece from Milli Hill before, this is so good. So calmly logical.

In fact, the study says that the protein, lactose, and calorie content of the milk were comparable, but that it was higher in fat. Higher in fat does not mean ‘higher quality’, as Luxion claimed

Quite apart from the high fat content, what about the testosterone and the testosterone suppressents?

Is anyone talking about that?

I know it's been said before but when you look at all the ways women restrict themselves - diet, medication, alcohol - when breastfeeding, the idea that anyone has allowed self centred men who take a cocktail of drugs on a regular basis to go anywhere near the idea of breastfeeding some vulnerable baby just defies all belief. Sigh......

Chariothorses · 20/02/2024 20:37

Its interesting that all the press coverage is concentrating on the secretion content. The elephant in the room- that the children of transitioners complained that the nhs is not safeguarding baby cots from dads with sexual fetishes- is something none of them dare address. Only the Jo Bartosch article has acknowledged this. No one will talk about it.

StephanieSuperpowers · 20/02/2024 20:39

On a different forum, I saw people seriously arguing that unless you could prove that man pus is a inferior food for a baby, it's a matter of parental choice.

Bizarre that they want to deny parents the right to prevent their children getting dosed with hormones to "change sex" but also want to rely on parental choice to stuff babies with hormones. It's all about hormoning children up, for some reason.

Absolutely.

That letter from the trust effectively dismissed it and told the COT that they, the trust, knew better than the children who had direct experience. The lack of symmetry is again very clear. Believe a special group, dismiss the voices of the people that special group harmed.

But at all time, centre special group. While gaslighting the rest of the population.

Chariothorses · 20/02/2024 20:42

..and if you dare not talk about it, you can't safeguard children.

This has been argued before on previous threads.

Most comments under the mainstream media articles are fully aware that of the likelihood that it's a fetish.

And I've seen a definite sea change in the fact that people are now voicing it.

They would be too petrified to bring it up before.

Now they are.

LassoOfTruth · 20/02/2024 21:25

My comment got deleted, presumably because I mentioned the thing (male sexual interest) that we’re not allowed to mention. Mea culpa. But this has got me very upset today, maybe because I’ve not long stopped breastfeeding my own toddler. These “parents” are, at best, not well. And the baby is seemingly just a prop in their bizarre self-experimentation. It’s child abuse. That’s my view, as a mother, and I find it extremely sad that I can’t express that on a forum for mothers (yes I know MN isn’t just for mothers).

Chariothorses · 20/02/2024 21:27

Yes. So it is stonewalled organisations that won't face reality even though it is a safeguarding issue. BBC, NHS, SWE, NSPCC, NHS, some Political parties- remember Lib Dems and greens protecting Challenor who abused a 10 year old girl in his house, and the Labour activist who yelled in a babies face....

Chariothorses · 20/02/2024 21:35

@LassoOfTruth it's happened to many of us even when raising safeguarding concerns. But thank goodness for mumsnet, letting us talk.
And i know there are a couple of cots on here who really appreciate women speaking up.so thanks for being brave!

We still don’t really know what is happening.

Taking it all at face value, the impression given by the BBC and other reporting (regardless of political bias) is that men are routinely being given hormones to induce breastfeeding in NHS hospitals and that evidence suggests that this is safe and as nutritiously valuable as milk produced by a woman after pregnancy.

However it’s also possible (much more likely?) this is not a service provided by the NHS.

I would make an assumption that the lack of relevant studies (only one) suggests a lack of suitable available subjects for study. (If they exist, I don’t like to think of the circumstances that would surround unsuitable subjects).

I’m very grateful to Milli Hilli for doing the research and putting her head above the parapet - but in the circumstances isn’t that the job of paid journalists?

countrypunk · 22/02/2024 09:57

I used Milli's article as the basis of my complaint to the BBC. Thanks to Milli for demonstrating the journalistic curiosity we should expect from our national broadcaster.

BBCisBatshit · 22/02/2024 15:37

Leo Kearse: "Saying artificially stimulated milk from a man's nipple is as good as natural milk from a mother is like saying cocaine is as good as going for a run because they both make you sweaty"

WarriorN · 23/02/2024 15:30

Oh my giddy, have you seen this chump who has corrected Milli Hill's article in favour of men's breastfeeding •with notes•?!
