nauticant · 23/01/2024 19:31

Roz Adams was employed by Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre (ERCC) as a counsellor. She is claiming constructive dismissal for Gender Critical (GC) beliefs. The CEO of ERCC is a well known transwoman known for, among other things, controversial "reframe your trauma" remarks.

And now the Witness is contradicting herself on the service users rights to know things

BettyBooper · 24/01/2024 14:20

I cant find the statement 'we believe TWAW' on the ercc website...?

Boiledbeetle · 24/01/2024 14:20

God the bloody TWAW mantra
AGAIN!!

Appalonia · 24/01/2024 14:20

Why would they know about MW?

She shares her status, but TWAW.

Arrgh!

HarpQuartet · 24/01/2024 14:20

Did anyone else let out a groan as the witness says 'TWAW' yet again?!

Ofcourseshecan · 24/01/2024 14:20

Lots more rousing, inspiring poetry by Irischild here:

Between the tribunal and the poetry, that’ll be all my tea breaks occupied for today.

The Office Yes GIF

.

nauticant · 24/01/2024 14:21

The witness cannot acknowledge that the service users' needs should come about MW's.

OP posts:
Boiledbeetle · 24/01/2024 14:22

Witness thinks it fine if MW chooses not to disclose to service user

nauticant · 24/01/2024 14:22

MS said MW shares they're a transwoman in the first session with a service user. I think she just made that up to get out of a tight spot.

I think we all know why MW considers it 'fun' to speak to traumatised service users.

Now then. MW is just on a mission to let raped women know that it's normal to orgasm during rape 🤮

HarpQuartet · 24/01/2024 14:23

NC: can you imagine that that might be traumatic? [realising your counsellor has a male body]
Witness: I suppose if the SU is a Muslim woman who believes in sex realism, then yes

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 24/01/2024 14:23

Boiledbeetle · 24/01/2024 14:16

Bastards. Just utter Fucking bastards.

I concur

Boiledbeetle · 24/01/2024 14:23

NC really showing up the chances to cause further trauma to rape victims through their current policies and beliefs

Mmmnotsure · 24/01/2024 14:23

NC What is true. That the su will be told, or they won't.

MS MW has the right to share her background if she wants to.

NC MW has the right to share. Su don't have the right to know.

MS for us TWAW.

NC So not compulsory for MW to disclose, cos TWAW.

NC So my hypothetical muslim woman, who has had several sessions with MW. Some muslim women will be gc, it's a plausible hypothetical .

MS not realistic that woman would have several sessions and then realise MW is tw, cos MW tells them.

NC but you said MW under no obligation. What would our su feel if she found out later after sharing her trauma that MW is a tw. She would feel traumatised

MS If she's a muslim woman who believes in sex realism, then yes.

Appalonia · 24/01/2024 14:24

Feels like this should be a deception offence tbh

BlessedKali · 24/01/2024 14:24

has it started again?

SelfPortraitWithHagstone · 24/01/2024 14:24

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 24/01/2024 14:23

I concur

This.

HarpQuartet · 24/01/2024 14:24

@BlessedKali yes, in session now

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 24/01/2024 14:24

Appalonia · 24/01/2024 14:24

concur again

SelfPortraitWithHagstone · 24/01/2024 14:25

"Does it matter if a Muslim sex-realist woman is traumatised?"

"Of course."

WELL NOT THAT MUCH, CLEARLY.

BlessedKali · 24/01/2024 14:26

hmm I'm in but I can't see anything

GCITC · 24/01/2024 14:26

BlessedKali · 24/01/2024 14:26

hmm I'm in but I can't see anything

You aren't missing much.

murasaki · 24/01/2024 14:26

I feel as if the Muslim bit is a red herring. I'm an atheist and would feel traumatised. It's about being denied the facts and not having choices.

Chrysanthemum5 · 24/01/2024 14:27

Why would someone who is not trans look at that? it is about how they support trans people, not that their staff may be trans
