Absolutely scandalous that ERCC refuses to refer / signpost to Beira's Place. I mean, lots of things they're doing are appalling but to not even pass someone the basic information about where else they could go when you are refusing to help them really is shoddy.

I don't think shoddy is anywhere near strong enough; on Rape Crisis National Standards:

RA: And perhaps 7.1 - about legislation, but that's often changing. And here - it says anyone turned away or decides not to come should be helped to find a service that can help them instead.

RA: So the refusal to refer to BP - or even mention it, even when their own waiting list full - that is IMO not complhying with the standards.

MW objected to 'transwomen' in an email letting colleagues know a service was also available to trans women. Being polite/helpful/kind is never enough - compliance must be immediate, complete and unquestioning.
