They tried in Bailey vs Garden Court but it would never load and open properly. That's the only time there has been an attempt and that was when tribunals were all remote during Covid.

This is a disgrace isn't it? Males are given access to a female service, signposting them to something suitable isn't enough, but someone asking for a singles sex service is not even signposted to alternatives.

This should be pursued as that is clear discrimination.

I'm also shocked that a colleague was wishing death on people but referring to a nb colleague as female at birth was seen as disrespectful. It's one rule for them and one rule for everyone else isn't it?

My mind can't comprehend how such a calm and reasoned email simply asking a question could be met with such batshittery.

Roz's crime?

She asked in an email if, when replying to a service user requesting a woman support worker, she could refer to a non binary employee as 'born a woman at birth but now identifies as non binary'.

The punishment?

An investigation into Roz, the non binary employee in question writing to staff that 'transphobes would die out quicky' after referencing said email, and the same employee being told they would have no further contact with Roz.

I find myself surprised at how I'm still surprised by this shit.

So the complaintant was accused of being overly sensitive while being expected to tippy toe on eggshells around everyone else.

It really seems to have gone from 0 to 60 in an incredibly short time.

I know RA slightly IRL, and she is indeed an intelligent, thoughtful, compassionate woman committed to social justice. Very shocked that ERC has gone this way.

This is lovely and not surprising. She seems incredibly principled and it's clear she really cares about survivors.

If you look at all these cases, it's interesting how "non binary people" are often right at the centre of them.

You should be hearing a message saying "waiting for the host to join" if you are in the waiting room.

Indeed and the 'agrieved' NB never gives evidence. I think that one of the Stonewall employees in Bailey vs Garden Court Chambers was trans identified, possibly NB. That's the one with the support dog, mother and solicitor all in the room with the person. (don't want to get booted for misgendering....)

The defence team usually must interview them and decide that they ....um....won't help the defence because.....well just because.
