The question asked in Thread 1 has still not been answered satisfactorily, and so the quest continues to discover which side of the fence Tunnocks are on or whether they are in fact sat atop the fence throwing Snowballls and Tea cakes at both sides.

I have no idea where the link below will send you. hopefully to the original thread and at the start, but it could be a completely different thread half way through. I'm too full of sugar to concentrate properly!

Darn! But don't be replacing the Tunnocks with the cider, that way madness lies!

I remember sitting on the green drinking alcopops and then going home because it started to rain.

To Boiled and others: remember cheese, cured meats, pickles, breads and crackers. There is also cake: fruit cake; sponge cake; date and walnut: coffee; lemon drizzle; torte. And fillings. So many fillings!

And going back to cheeses: so many cheeses!

@Boiledbeetle I was so excited about the logs being there on the shelf waiting for me, with their friends twin and mars, I went there first before all the boring veg and things, and they weren’t there. I’m fairly sure my “noooooo” was out loud. I am very sad. I had to buy a farmhouse white loaf to cheer myself up.

I had much the same experience earlier on in Tesco. I was so disappointed I didn't even feel like getting the teacakes or the wafers. I'm regretting that now.

Thank you for the flowers, they are needed. Luckily I picked up the other drugs Tunnocks on autopilot. I’ve had to eat 6 slices of toast though, a sure sign of my distress.

💔💐🐞I'm sorry! But I did qualify it with the fact id hardly been in the shop since before the covid years!

Someone needs to email Tunnocks to see which aisle their products are in in each supermarket chain!

Now I’m distressed and slightly scared…

By the fact that @JanesLittleGirl drank GREEN alcopops and thinks 'lemon drizzle' are acceptable words to say in company? Yeah I feel the same!

I was so shocked by this misrepresentation that I almost forgot to take my alendronic acid tablet! I drank alcopops on the green - the patch of almost grass in the middle of our estate. I have never consumed a green drink.

I have never tried lemon drizzle cake (the very words put me off) but I am willing to accept that some people like it.

😱 my bad! I was the one who drank GREEN alcopops.

I remain permanently confused as to why some people not only like lemon drizzle cake, shudders, but love it!

It's like, WTF is wrong with them!

If I remember correctly, the drinks of choice were WKD Blue and Red Square. I could never buy them directly - I still get challenged to produce ID - but you put your fiver in and drank what was produced.

I was the one who went to the off licence, after about four years of him serving booze to me I skip in all happy one night as it's my birthday to buy some fags with my birthday badge on saying 18 TODAY.

He wasnt a happy bunny!

MD 20/20? Oh that takes me back. Not that I ever drank it mind you, I was more of a cider girl at that age.

I switched to cider when i started drinking in the pubs. Woodpecker though. Could only stomach strong bow if i was already bladdered

Couldn't stand Woodpecker, far too sweet. I'm a Strongbow girl, but halves, I'm not a complete barbarian.

Does cider comes in half pints?

You’ve made me remember Snakebite. I was enjoying my Tirrel pilsner in the garden until I remembered that and being very very sick. We were on a riding holiday and I can’t have been more than 14 yrs when they opened the bar to us every night.
Hooch was so sweet I’m surprised our teeth didn’t fall out on contact.

I had a soft caramel earlier. I realised I hadn’t shown any enough compassion when you had an off teacake @Boiledbeetle and I now atone for my sins or something.

Dd recently did the same. Our shop owner wasn’t a happy bunny either. But think how much money they would have missed out on if they had ever checked ID 😀

I actually had another off one right next to it. I fear it may have been my own fault for leaving them just above the radiator that churns out blistering heat even in the middle of the summer (and no, I can't switch it off/down! Due to a very antiquated, fairly Jerry rigged heating/hot water situation having one without the other is no longer an option.)

Don't know what's up with your wafer though! That's definitely not down to me!
