The question asked in Thread 1 has still not been answered satisfactorily, and so the quest continues to discover which side of the fence Tunnocks are on or whether they are in fact sat atop the fence throwing Snowballls and Tea cakes at both sides.

I have no idea where the link below will send you. hopefully to the original thread and at the start, but it could be a completely different thread half way through. I'm too full of sugar to concentrate properly!

Boxes?

Somanyquestionstoaskaboutthis · 16/02/2025 16:31

Theyre on special offer in Sainsbury's at the moment which has stopped my diet dead. Bargain comes before diet. This could well be why I never lose weight.

In the current tense global security context, this is a rare piece of positive news😂

'When the captain pulled an emergency depressurising switch the iconic Scottish treat erupted - leaving a sticky mess over the airmen, the instruments and cockpit canopy.'

I don't see what the problem was - all the RAF had to do was get in touch with MN, put up a post asking for volunteers, and I can guarantee that they'd have got a crack team of Tunnocks-lovers who would have happily licked all the molten Tunnocks off the instruments, the cockpit canopy... and even the airmen, though only out of patriotic duty of course😏

PS yes I know the exploding Tunnocks incident was in 1965 before MN was invented, but if there's a laugh to be had, the facts go to the back of the queue!

I found Caramel Logs in B&M. I bought some to try and we all quite like them. Caramel wafer FTW though.

I really really fancy a Tunnock's wafer cream right now.

<goes off to search the internet>

OP have you had all these months off?!!!!
Tunnock tea cakes are made in Scotland
Sandy Peggy / Fife is in Scotland
FWS is in Scotland
The constant reference association has made the personal consumption of these cakes rather consistent through the summer.
May have to stock pile while waiting the Sandy Peggy outcome

Where can Wafer Creams be bought? Apart from at ruinous expense on t'interweb.

AppleTreeOwner · 19/09/2025 07:47

I've been busy guarding my hoard of tea cakes.

But I really fancy a wafer. (Although just opening up Mumsnet seems to stop that as the current site changes mean I feel like im on a very rocky boat in bad weather)

The wafer creams were available briefly last year in Sainsbury's, for a whole week or two, then were never seen again).

Right back to some gentle perusing of Mumsnet over breakfast.
