Tunnocks Thread 2

The question asked in Thread 1 has still not been answered satisfactorily, and so the quest continues to discover which side of the fence Tunnocks are on or whether they are in fact sat atop the fence throwing Snowballls and Tea cakes at both sides.

I have no idea where the link below will send you. hopefully to the original thread and at the start, but it could be a completely different thread half way through. I'm too full of sugar to concentrate properly!

Bugger I thought I'd posted something and it's gone off wandering into the ether somewhere. Or there is currently someone on another thread going what the fuck is Boiled taking?

Anyway those doing Tunnocks tree decorations, have you considered Tunnocks crackers in your tree.

I should have cut more off my empty kitchen roll tube but I was only making a cup of tea so time was limited.

Oooh. Having worked my way through 2 packets of wafers I know have lots of empty wrappers. And look 7 months pregnant due to them not being sympatico with my ibs. Im going to start cutting them into small pieces in order to savour them more. I'm eating several and calling it a meal which isn't good for me as fun as that is and as great as they taste!
I'm on a house clearing and sorting mission and will get round to the craft drawers and craft box soon to figure out what I have to make decorations. We go through toilet rolls like we go through Tunnocks so there'll be lots of empty loo roll tubes by October to start the crafting.

I love horseradish, lightly garnished with roast beef. If it makes your nose stream, even better.

I've been growing my horseradish plant for the last couple of years and I'm hoping this year will be the year I can harvest the roots. I have been warned though that I'll need googles and plastic gloves to prepare it!

IcakethereforeIam · 23/08/2023 09:58

You can grow it!

@CervixSampler - as a fellow crafter, I firmly believe that accumulating the supplies for any given craft, and actually doing the craft, are two entirely separate hobbies.

Which explains why I have got more yarn than a yarn shop, several skirt-lengths of fabric and two dress lengths, a bookbinding kit, the supplies for decopatch, lino printing, painting, patchwork and embroidery - to name but a few. 😳

Accumulating the supplies, looking at the supplies, sorting your supplies, imagining the wonders that could be made with the supplies are all much better and more enjoyable than actually doing anything with the supplies

I was clever today. I got myself two Tunnock’s wafers from the cupboard - because one in each hand is a balanced meal - and then I asked dh to get me one. He doesn’t realise I’d already had two, so doesn’t know what a greedy 🐷 I am. 😁

OK, I know nothing of thongs. I just went to the shop and bought a very blandly named horseradish plant. I just had a look at mine and I'm feeling guilty that I've been neglecting it somewhat.

Boiledbeetle · 23/08/2023 20:06

some of my best work has come from un-editable posts things will never be the same again.

WOO HOO

how many edits can you do on one post before the time limit runs out!

is it just keep going til the time runs out do you think?

OP posts:
Boiledbeetle · 23/08/2023 20:06

FROM SITE STUFF

YetAnotherBeckyMumsnet · Today 09:28
We’re pleased to announce that we’re introducing an edit feature.

Historically, we’ve been hesitant to introduce edits because of concerns that historical revisions could cause confusion.

We’re mitigating this by implementing both a time limit (you’ll have a short period of time to edit your post) and ensuring the edit history will be visible to all. The edit feature is designed for minor corrections, such as fixing spelling mistakes and grammar errors that don't change the context of your post. It should not be used to change the overall meaning or intention of your original message. We’re adding a new report option so you can let us know if you think anyone is abusing the feature.

To edit your post:
Select the ‘...’ menu on the post you want to edit
Select ‘Edit’
Fix any mistakes
Select ‘Update’ to save your changes

To see the edit history of a post:
Select the ‘Edited’ label on the post

As some of you may know, we’re currently working on rebuilding our mobile Talk app so app users can access features that are available on our website. Whilst this work is underway, users won’t be able to edit their posts in the app, but they will be able to see when a post has been edited and view the edit history. iOS users will need to make sure they’ve updated to the latest version. The update for Android will be coming imminently and we’ll let you know when it’s available.

We know it’s frustrating for app users at the moment - the rebuild will be a huge improvement but it’s a huge job and is taking time. We really appreciate your patience.

We hope you find the edit button useful - we’ve added edit guidance to our Talk Guidelines, but if you’ve any questions or problems, please add to the thread.

Thanks, MNHQ

Wired or weird? Must have been wired or you would have edited it.

Alas i did not notice until the edit clock had expired!

I like how you can read all the edits though. It looks like they've done as much as possible to stop people changing the meaning of what they said when responses don't go their way.

Sorry forgot to say it was supposed to be weird

I haven't had a single Tunnocks today. In 2 weeks I will have evened put my consumption to reasonable.

I agree about the crafting hobbies.

It's exam results day tomorrow and I'm going with Dd at her request and will wear at least 3 terf items. They can stiff their rainbow flags where the sun doesn't shine because those rainbow flags exclude my daughters and their thoughts and feelings. It includes a tiny percentage of the school including staff. Why are school so keen to highlight the sexuality of their staff for a start. So inappropriate. It doesn't need to be hidden but it doesn't need to be highlighted either. Private life. Clue is in the name.

Boiledbeetle · 23/08/2023 21:49

@CervixSampler fingers crossed for teenage cervix. Hope she's happy with what is in the envelope.

One of the best things my mother ever did was ensure we were away on holiday on gcse results day. So I returned home to my 3 Cs a D an E and an ungraded! Waiting on the mat.

I have just been confronted with a naked man! I only opened the door to let the cat out! The guy across from me has curtains, but has obviously not worked out yet how they work!

And NO Tunnocks????????! Tell me it's not true!

JanesLittleGirl

Those of us that use the app don't get that.

Noooo😲

They do say on site stuff about the edit button though that they are doing a major app overhaul

App users have to live with what we get. You got GIFs. There was a period of about 6 weeks where you posted them but we couldn't see them. I still cannot post any form of attachment. It's almost like being a woman in a man's world.

Boiledbeetle · 23/08/2023 22:32

@JanesLittleGirl I knew it was bad and lagging behind, but I didn't realise it was still in the 20th century.

I access it through the internet thingy search wotsit on everything. So didn't even know it had an app until people mentioned it didn't have some fUnctions

OP posts:
IcakethereforeIam · 23/08/2023 22:58

To grow horseradish you have to go to the garden centre in the spring and ask for a thong. Or waitrose. I'm not asking the garden centre for a thong. I thuppothe I could ask the garden thentre for a thong, but that will just confuse everyone and be disrespectful of people with speech impediments.

Who thought to call it a thong? Does it look like a thong? Did the horseradish thong come before the thong thong?
