The question asked in Thread 1 has still not been answered satisfactorily, and so the quest continues to discover which side of the fence Tunnocks are on or whether they are in fact sat atop the fence throwing Snowballls and Tea cakes at both sides.

As a women who admires the female body and magnificent female boobies, I am now imaging a large pair of massive Tunnocks tea cakes

I am informed that Reform was offering Tunnocks Teacakes to the press pack at it's manifesto launch in Merthyr Tydfil yesterday. Can Tunnocks take legal action?

Are you suggesting that confectionary should have a political allegiance?
One good way to affect sales and the consumer is doing this. Best to keep to being a tasty product and remain apolitical.
One reason that Tunnocks have a following is that they did not bow down to pressure groups and so they should continue to do so.

Trying to decide if it is sacrilege to doctor a tea cake but would defiantly try one ( or maybe two or three) if offered.

Will need to factor a detour via Tesco this week otherwise the blood pressure will be sky high.

You can get bags of bite sized caramel wafers, my daughter had some on Friday. Just thought you should know.

As I have previously, shockingly, revealed on this thread, I have never seen, let alone eaten a Tunnock. I was provided with photographs by horrified and concerned posters, thank you kind friends😄

So this isn't an expert opinion but I really don't think that Tunnocks count as Ultra Processed Food. I don't think they are 'processed' at all, I think each one is lovingly handcrafted by people as caring and committed as they are professional. They skip to work each morning, they keep each one of you in mind during their day, and there's an audible groan of disappointment when they are required by employment laws to stop working.

I may be wrong, of course. Tunnocks may in fact be lovingly produced by gerbils, wearing little suits made out of the same material as hair nets..

But Ultra processed? Pah! Never!

Dh and I are planning to sit up and watch the election results come in - I think we will need snacks, and I think Tunnocks products should figure heavily. Unfortunately I did not plan ahead for this, when I did last week's shopping, so I will have to send dh out to procure said snacks and Tunnocks.

I shall be going to bed. I have a weekend away planned and I'm not doing that on no sleep.

It will involve interesting things and food and, with any luck, more drink than is good for me.
