The question asked in Thread 1 has still not been answered satisfactorily, and so the quest continues to discover which side of the fence Tunnocks are on or whether they are in fact sat atop the fence throwing Snowballls and Tea cakes at both sides.

I have no idea where the link below will send you. hopefully to the original thread and at the start, but it could be a completely different thread half way through. I'm too full of sugar to concentrate properly!

So, boldened by the unfortunate loss of Cervixs Tunnocks but then the discovery of uneaten Tunnocks by others I went in search of treasures

I removed everything from the cupboard, put everything on the counter, but alas no Tunnocks were lurking (or a merkin) so I returned everything back to the cupboard and then turned back to the counter and was dismayed to discover what looked like three rat droppings on the counter top. There was a brief minute or two of fuck my life, and where did I put the rat traps, when I remembered that just prior to the cupboard emptying I'd had wild rice for lunch! No rats just three pieces of rice that had escaped!

Phew! I know that heart sinking feeling of rodent alert only too well. What a relief.

CervixSampler · 20/12/2023 16:45

The Tunnocks fairy has visited ds today and delivered the goods for him to complete his Christmas mission.
I love all these treats being found in the back of the cupboard but glad I've not experienced the fear of potential rodents in my cupboards. We used to have mice in the loft and I discovered this when the Christmas chocolate coin stash was found to be strewn around the loft. Well, the empty foil wrappers. They'd gnawed on the quality street tub too. Needless to say I don't hide food presents up there now. Imagine if they got my tunnocks!! 😱
The decorations keep falling off the tree. They are too heavy for the glue and sellotape combo so I've got the glue gun ready for when I've got time to do it.

😱 that caravan is quite something 😂

@Boiledbeetle the only possible way to stop that fear again is to stop eating healthy lunches

That caravan is worth a visit i reckon! And it only sounds healthy! It wasn't that healthy the rice was with beef strogonof (I bet that's spelt wrong)

I'd be worried about having a strange dream and waking up in a stupor, trying to eat it.

IcakethereforeIam · 23/12/2023 12:30

The backs of fire engines now remind me of Tunnocks

In other news, I've not been able to find any fur to make my festive merkin 😢 I'm going to keep looking. At a pinch I could go back to the roadkill fox that we drove past the other day.

Assuming I'm not in the clink.

Do any of the Kids have something fleecy they've outgrown? A dressing gown (or a teddy bear 😏) needs must and all that!

I've found a badger (not roadkill) that I never got round to finishing sewing together. So I've cut a chunk of it and binned the rest (decluttering 😃). I'm charging my phone and I'll try to post a pic tomorrow. Don't, I repeat, don't hold your breath. Love, care, artistry, all good words to describe what wasn't lavished on it. In tribute to Elaine Miller, I haven't hemmed it.

But has it got a pocket???

😭 no!

IcakethereforeIam · 23/12/2023 23:48

But it does have a bell 😃

Boiledbeetle · 23/12/2023 23:57

Given its a festive merkin the bell makes prefect sense!

That's what I thought. I was going to hang it over the fireplace but fellas parents are round Christmas day so...😬 Last I saw it was on the tree. If it doesn't creep off I will post a picture.

Our annoying musical biscuit tin is full of Tunnocks

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 25/12/2023 13:03

Merry Christmas everyone.

Apparently we have several packs of Tunnock’s tea cakes hidden away - dh bought them to take to a meeting in London, but couldn’t go in the end, so we have Bonus Teacakes. What a tragedy! 😂😂😂

They put Twix and Toblerone out on the ship, I went to Morrisons yesterday and never thought to get a couple of packets. If we're still alongside tomorrow, that could be my mission!

I'm the only British person onboard.
