The question asked in Thread 1 has still not been answered satisfactorily, and so the quest continues to discover which side of the fence Tunnocks are on or whether they are in fact sat atop the fence throwing Snowballls and Tea cakes at both sides.

I have no idea where the link below will send you. hopefully to the original thread and at the start, but it could be a completely different thread half way through. I'm too full of sugar to concentrate properly!

Well, pole dancing is good for your fitness, I suppose!

CervixSampler · 16/12/2023 14:58

I used to pole dance and had a pole in my living room.

As promised earlier in the year:

I spent part of today looking at a dinosaur femur (it was fucking huge), you could have used it to poledance. But now I want a velcro dinosaur notebook and Tunnocks Christmas decorations 😕

200 Pieces Christmas Ornament Hangers Snap Lock Ropes, 20 cm Hanging Fastening Ropes Pre-Cut Hanging Ropes Polyester Label Ropes for Christmas Decor amzn.eu/d/hidPDMO

These are what I bought and I've use sticky glue dots to stick them on tunnocks. I've added a little tape to the back of the tunnocks wrapper to seal it shut because otherwise the weight of it starts to pull the wrapper apart.

Thank you CervixSanta Xmas Grin

Edited

The notebook was a habitat one in Sainsbury's, although it was in the clearance section at a bargain £3. Don't know why as the rest of the range was still on the main shelf at full price.

As for the Tunnocks decorations you've still time to fashion a few yourself! Stuff anything else you are supposed to be doing, get making those decorations!

Ours was done last Sunday, before I went to sea. We usually do it the Sunday before Christmas.

Chersfrozenface · 17/12/2023 16:08

On another thread a poster has mentioned Fat Face Christmas tree dinosaurs.

I did briefly consider buying a multi pack of dinosaur keyring which could double up as tree decs!

Am loving the hanging teacakes and ideas. continue to devour tea cakes this
month as the wrappers are all shiny and Christmasy.

the compulsory 1st Jan diet starts in 13 days…. How does one factor in teacakes into a diet plan?…. Not sure if one a week is survivable ( am eating at least one a day at the moment as part of a grown ups Advent calendar - 25 in a big box …)

ps congrats on the poetry book boiled beetle

I think if dieting then a tea cake will have to be lunch! 😁

I have a Tunnocks with my second cup of tea each day and it is worked into my daily calorie allowance. I cut it up into little slices and savour each morsel.
Today I have purchased snack packs of chocolate raisins from M&S.
I work what I love into my diet try to have a balanced diet with lots of walking. 55 miles last week. I'm not into deprivation at all.

CervixSampler · 19/12/2023 10:29

Sad, sad news today. I lost a packet of caramel wafers on the way home from the shops. I walked back to see if they were there but no. So someone has an early Christmas present today.

See below for how to maximise the Tunnocks enjoyment within a calorie controlled diet 😁

Thank you for the kind words at this difficult time. Ds has got me a beautiful tin for Christmas and has been gradually filling it with Tunnocks for me. He's only 8 bless him and wants it to be full in time for wrapping on Christmas Eve. I grabbed 4 packs today and a lady at the till commented that I obviously hate them and we had a laugh over it. Sure beats being told something will go straight to my hips!

I had an altercation on the bus last week and was called an awkward woman. I felt quite proud really 😁 I just wanted a window open for ventilation as it was busy and the Scrooge in the corner who will be getting coal to keep him warm wanted it closed because he's obviously not a proper northerner and is nesh. Had his big coat on though. Bit skinny. Needed to eat more tunnocks to build a good layer of insulation.

Somanyquestionstoaskaboutthis · 19/12/2023 19:23

I have had a day of mixed emotions which I will bore you with, but first I must congratulate @CervixSampler on the decorations and evicting the pole.

I travelled afar to next town over to their big big Sainsburys to do the Christmas shop and they had snowballs. So we had snowballs. But now we have run out as I only bought 3 boxes. I will return next week, it is worth the petrol and time.

I had to clear out the Tunnocks and teabags shelf to turn it into the “don’t you dare eat any of those chocolates and cakes and nice things until Christmas” shelf and found 2 teacakes who had hidden themselves behind the herbal teas that have never been touched other than by strange visitors. Imagine my excitement, on top of the snowball excitement it all got a bit much, so I had a cup of Yorkshire tea and the 2 bonus teacakes to recover, but the teacakes have been tainted by peppermint from the boxed and individually wrapped teabags. I was so upset I had to finish the snowballs. At least I know I was right to be wary of healthy tea though.

AppleTreeOwner · 19/12/2023 19:48

Going to get up now and check the back of the cupboard that last housed some snowballs… you never know… although hoping the random spices have stayed intact if a suprise is found

Somanyquestionstoaskaboutthis · 19/12/2023 20:19

I hope I didn’t make you move unnecessarily and that you found some

AppleTreeOwner · 19/12/2023 20:31

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
getting up was worth it, you were an inspiration- got on hands and knees and found a BOX of snow balls vertical at the very back of the cupboard. Couldn’t read the use by date in the small wrappers but tasted fine!
Note to self- do need to sort out kitchen cupboard more frequently

Somanyquestionstoaskaboutthis · 20/12/2023 14:05

A whole box! I’m jealous now. I might print out and frame “you were an inspiration “
