I’m glad this is being reported because a lot of people simply refuse to believe this is happening. I attend dating events for women, and the official rules are it’s for “women with vulvas”. I can’t say I’m too jazzed about it, because it still technically allows males in. However, given that so many transwomen retain their penises it means that very very few transwomen would be able to join anyway. It still sucks that we can’t just say it’s a space for bi and lesbian women only.

In Tasmania, Australia, lesbians are not legally allowed to hold any public events or have groups for women that do not include TW. A case went to the Anti-discrimination commission, and found that TW are W and must not be excluded.

Well, @SamW98, a gay male friend has told me that a hook-up platform he uses is no longer allowing its users to state any preference as to who they meet as it's discrimination. I believe it includes natal females in that.

What are you talking about? A gay man is 100% going to be put off by a vagina! That's the whole point of being gay. Same sex attraction means being attracted to people of the same sex. Men want to fuck men. Women want to fuck women.

Almost all men have a penis so that's a straightforward starting point if the person you are talking to is male. It really isn't bigoted to have a sexuality that doesn't include male people.

Grindr interactions apparently get to how many inches each party can offer quite rapidly. I know there are gay men who will happily date transmen but I am going to go out on a limb and say it's a small minority.

What is true us that there are a lot more bisexual people around than people used to think. I'm also perhaps unusual kn MN on finding pansexual quite a useful definition, and pansexual speed dating would be fun imo. However, anyone who genuinely thinks that lesbian speed dating events should have to include males is a sad homophobe tbh.
