Well done to the hotel staff. ‘trans ‘woman’ given key to the unisex changing room instead of the female changing room ‘trans woman’ not happy.

Some of these comments are unfair. To say it’s a fetish etc. They have a mental health issue

Inserting yourself into a changing room full of teenage girls and creating a situation whereby they are forced to get changed in front of you sounds more like a fetish or a perversion to me

There may be plenty of trans people for whom it is a mental health issue and there is no fetish. They aren't the ones watching teenagers get changed

And let's not forget that people like Anne are the people insisting that this isn't a mental health issues and to call it a mental health issue is transphobia. So they would consider your comment to be equally unfair.

*Anne is, to quote Anne's own words, 'determined' to use the female changing areas, even though a perfectly safe and comfortable alternative had been offered.

Why?*

because they believe they are a woman

They don't believe they are a woman. They know their body is that of a man but their mind due to trauma or attention seeking or kink etc is telling them that it's ok to dress like a woman and fight for their "oppression".

If I was to tell you I was black, despite for white and European parents; you would tell me to shut up. You would be saying I'm mentally ill, yet we don't for trans? We tell them they are "real women".

Martina Big with her big massive boobs and now pretending to be black is a perfect example of mental illness.

It's a fetish for some. Just like drag is a fetish for some gay men.

Theeyeballsinthesky · 26/07/2023 10:31

And?? They can believe what they like but they’re a man and the fact they know they don’t pass as a woman reconfirms it

its not women’s job to shore up men’s delusions

Annaishere · 26/07/2023 10:33

Lol that was random @babayhaga

Either way adults need to safeguard the girls.

Hopefully this will be picked up on by the media and people will actually remember girls need safeguarding more than males need validation.

Annaishere · 26/07/2023 10:34

No I wouldn’t affirm it. They need treatment

Is your name a joke, @Annaishere?

few of us think Anna’s behavuour is funny or acceptable.

Annaishere · 26/07/2023 10:35

No my names Anna. I made it a while ago. I don’t think it’s funny

But Anne doesn't believe that. Anne knows full well which sex Anne is.

Annaishere · 26/07/2023 10:36

They believe they have the wrong body

SabrinaThwaite · 26/07/2023 10:36

@chinook

Raise this with your club safeguarding officer and make sure your team manager (if you have one at the meet - if not then the coach) knows so that they can raise it with the meet organisers. If there are other parents there raise it together as a group.

Email the British Swimming safeguarding lead [email protected]

No way should a male be in a changing room where teenage girls are struggling in and out of race suits.

Absolutely. Women are not human support vessels. Anne is 'determined' to use those facilities and to hell with women's discomfiture. This says something interesting about Anne. And what it says has more to do with Anne's attitude to other women than any personal beliefs about gender presentation.

It was pretty obvious when the land-grab of women's spaces started that predatory men could and would take advantage. This has (predictably) been borne out with the percentage of males transitioning to feminine gender presentation in prisons.

The fetishists are not branded on their foreheads with the divine stigma. No one can tell who is a threat simply by looking at them.

The safest and only viable solution is NO natal males in women's spaces.

So? This is not women's problem to fix.

You must be projecting!

There are plenty of Anne’s own words online that make it clear ‘Anne’ is presenting a ‘female facade’ (direct quote, screenshot provided).

I’m just saying I’m giving the benefit of the doubt we can’t assume it’s sinister. I see it more as a deluded person that needs psychiatric help

FatherJackHackettsUnderpantsHamper · 26/07/2023 10:41

Every girl there is being made to accept a man watching them change. It is being drummed into them that when a man says they are a woman they have to accept they are.

How far are we actually going to take this as a society? Will we get rid of courts and judges, because if somebody says they didn't do what they are accused of, we have to just accept their innocence? Will squatting become a thing of the past, because if somebody says they are the owner of your house, we just have to accept that they are? Anybody can buy alcohol, as long as they say they are over 18? Making people take driving tests is offensive bigotry, because if they say they can drive competently, how very dare anybody gainsay them?

Those in power - and others who blithely accept this 'fiction is truth' narrative really need to stop for a moment and think about the principles they are wading in and signing us all up for. There will be no such thing as a lie anymore: we will merely have 'truth' and 'equally-valid truth'.

dimorphism · 26/07/2023 10:41

It is sinister when girls are being forced to get naked in front of adult males. Without consent. It's sexual assault.

And that may well be the case but I still want these mean who claim to be women because of some feeling in their head to stop using women single sex spaces whilst they deal with their health issues!

Wtf are all the adults thinking?

As a swim parent I’m not giving the benefit of the doubt. It’s totally inappropriate and a safeguarding failure for this man to be in female changing rooms with teenage girls.

Annaishere · 26/07/2023 10:47

@NicCageisnotNickCave well that’s interesting

Theeyeballsinthesky · 26/07/2023 10:47

If I remember swim England were one of the first to jump on the TWAW bandwagon.

Annaishere · 26/07/2023 10:52

I’m pretty neutral about all this. Admittedly I don’t have a daughter and maybe would have stronger opinions on it if I did. I know that’s why my sister is so unsettled. I find it interesting though how this all just came up. It feels like the government already wanted to erase gender roles

Annaishere · 26/07/2023 10:53

But no I don’t think teenage girls should be sharing the changing room with them
