@cgdev has been ordered to pay over £100k in compensation for loss of earnings, injury to feelings and aggravated damages for their high-handed conduct.

Fantastic! I hadn’t seen her schedule of loss so couldn’t comment on her earnings but I predicted she’d get £25k - £30k for the injury to feelings.

5 years to get here. She deserves every penny and more.

It also means next time I get the chance I will point out our handbook doesnt have the protected characteristic of sex in it. Many other protected characteristics but somehow sex is missing and has been since before 2018.
This is a good day.

I agree with PP that £100K is a pittance.
5 years of hell is worth more than £20K per year.

But what an absolute powerhouse of a woman Maya is.

Fabulous, brave woman, she deserves every penny. And better still this is where insurers should start getting nervous about standing behind anti-woman politics. Or if they want to put anti-woman principles above money, we'll all get very rich. Win-win.

Just fantastic and I'm glad they charged CGD extra for being high handed in court.

The CEO was a clown. They all were! It was entertaining but hard work for Maya.

She's world famous now and the stupid museum of History must be checking their bank balance right now and seeing how much more grovelling they need to do asap.

And thanks to JK Rowling for increasing the profile of the case.

I'm so glad they awarded aggravated damages for the fact the her employers publicly twisted the words of the original judgment to make it sound like the judge was criticising Maya's conduct (or any conduct that had actually happened in the context of the court case) when they said "this judgment does not mean that those with gender-critical beliefs can "misgender" trans people with impunity".

I've heard that quote being twisted by gender ideologues repeatedly in their attempt to rewrite history and to pretend that Maya got told off for misgendering and/or that the judge said people can't misgender, when that was not what was said at all.

Also amusing to see that PinkNews' shenanigans contributed to Maya getting a higher award...all I can say about that is lol.

Not sure that critical thinking is a feature of being a TRA 😂As is demonstrated every day on here by the contributions from the usual suspects. 😂
