This is probably a good time to remind everyone that one of the consequences of Cloudflare dropping Moon’s hosting company was the sudden disappearance of the website for Action Zealandia … a neo-Nazi group based in New Zealand. Their website disappeared because Moon’s company 1776 Solutions Incwas selling them hosting services.

Which is why it really pains me that Mumsnet is providing a forum for its members to post information about fundraising and support for Moon. 

Make no mistake about Moon and what he really is. He has been providing literal neo-Nazis with an Internet platform on which to metastasise their toxic ideology. He is happy to make money from hosting toxic men that are united by their collective hate. 

If supporting Moon seems like a worthwhile outcome for your activism then, quite frankly, you’re failing to make make the world a better place. Nothing good or worthwhile can come from supporting a person who is willing to assist groups pf disgruntled men that want to put their boots on your faces.

And like Mr sealions says, the irony of being outraged by other people's hate, while being one of the most hateful people in a hate group... I really cannot see how TRA hate is any better than neo-Nazi hate. Certainly in overall impact it's far worse, just because of its prevalance and acceptance by institutions.

I guess people who view a group as subhuman can't even perceive hate towards that group. And there are far more people who view women as subhuman than any other group - it's practically the air we breathe, as the last few years have made clear to me. Most people don't make it quite so explicit, but it's so obviously there, or women wouldn't still be being subjected to this.

It is always unwise to censor ideas. In the open they can be challenged. Hidden, they grow in secret. Why should neo-Nazis not have a platform? They have the same rights to free speech as everyone else and if we can see them we can fight them.

So I just googled this group Action Zealandia and lo and behold, they still have a website. So somebody else is now hosting them. No idea who and really don't care, but to summarize:

• the group is legal
• the group has a website
• the website is legally hosted
• NZ government and legal system have not banned them, shut them down or removed the website.

Conclusion: this group is exercising their democratic right to say what they want to say, even though you and I don't agree, like or condone what they say.

If you don't agree with them, file a lawsuit and get them shut down using the legal and democratic system. That is democracy.

So, LoC, are you now going after whoever hosts their site now? Get them banned from the internet as well?

That’s the thing with free speech, people are going to say things I don’t agree with - like TWAW, or neo-nazi stuff, or Trump was a great president. But while I disagree, people are perfectly entitled to say those things.

A don’t agree with a lot of what is said on KF (or Mumsnet) but they’re allowed to say it.
