Her own security are saying she's courting trouble for views, knowingly putting them in danger, that she has no human connection with people but her fans don't notice as they hero-worship her and see what they want to see, and that the end game is she's after becoming a talking head in the US, and that SFW women are just pawns she's using to get there.

I used to love her, before I get accused of jealousy. I still love the approach of platforming women who don't usually get a chance to be heard.

But actual nazis are now turning up at women's rights events - precisely because KJK refused to denounce them and has been courting the far right for ages. It's not a coincidence.

What does she have to do before women realise she's using us?
At what point do women accept KJK is toxic and damaging our movement?

If those closest to her have serious concerns - shouldn't you?

However, I do agree on the whole with OP on this.

I used to post regularly on here (have had a few diff user names) but mainly use twitter now.

I learnt a lot from women on here over the years and I agree on many things re protecting single sex spaces. There are some really intelligent, informed posters who I respect.

I can get behind the concept of the LWS events and understand why women want to be heard and can find them empowering.

I can't get behind some of KJK's decisions/strategy, I've watched plenty of her videos, she is clear she's not a feminist, she has become a right-wing figure, and I strongly disagree with some of the things she says. I worry that she's undermining the feminist take on trans issues and encouraging a more conservative, and tbh sometimes seemingly hate-fuelled approach.

People tend to be very black and white in defense of her. I've drifted away from this board because of it.

I'm not going to argue on here - I've had enough of that on twitter and I understand people feel really strongly about her. But I'd looked on here about sth else and saw this post and wanted to add another voice.

I do think it’s entirely possible that both sides of this debate are right. KJK does deliberately court the far right, she does encourage a ruckus at her SFW events for social media clicks, she does enjoy the fame and notoriety of being Posie Parker.

Telling women who disagree with her they will be annihilated? That she will win? Reminds me of Shon Faye tweeting at women ‘Enjoy your erasure’.

On the other hand she does genuinely believe women and girls are being harmed by trans ideology and is choosing to fight it in a way she thinks is effective. She is doing a job she is passionate about and monetising it, I can’t fault her for that.

I am glad the OP started this thread and others are agreeing. It isn't surprising that some women are questioning her. She likes to push buttons and boundaries.

It's not a sneer, it's a self-deprecating observation. She is divisive and controversial so GC women are going to discuss her.

I'm another person who doesn't align with KJK's embrace of loads of right wing groups. I don't think she shouldn't of that's what works for her; but it doesn't appeal to everyone and I'm one of the people it doesn't appeal to.

I am fairly tired of being told that I need to have an all-or-nothing view on her. I can admire KJK's campaigning, and find the idea that she is fusing feminism with Nazism risible, but also think she's playing right into the American culture war "GC = reactionary right wing" tropes. Nuance works here, too.

I should probably clarify so bad faith actors people don't think I'm asking so that I can do the courting, I just want to know so I can identify and denounce those who do.

I don’t get this criticism. You don’t have to be on these threads and start others, they keep cropping up though often from those who claim to not want to talk about her so much.

If people truly believe KJK is 'courting' the far right instead of being abandoned by the far left, is the one responsible for a 'hate fuelled' approach, is in it for the money <snort> or encourages violence, to me, it appears as though you are viewing her campaign and the people trying to stop her through some kind personal lens that skews the reality.

At Hobart, eye witnesses are reporting women being surrounded by violent TRAs with the help of the police, Green Party politicians laughing at swearing at women talking about their sexual assault, and KJK absolutely furious that they won't Let Women Speak.

She's not fuelling the hate and violence, left politicians are and using law enforcement to uphold it.

The interesting this to me is:

Even if she was right wing
Even if she spoke to the wrong people
Even if she posed for one selfie with the wrong people
Even if the people she hired for security voted for the wrong USA party

She is still right on the key points of her events.

If anyone has any events that are run by the left to allow women to speak then I'm sure everyone would get behind them. However as proven by the behaviour of the left, this is highly unlikely to ever happen. But do feel free to post links to them.

Especially if you are running them yourself. Rather than sitting behind a computer screen slagging off someone who does.
