I am so excited that this is coming to Australia - I will hopefully be attending.

Anyone else?

No-one else has done this in such a broad and inclusive way (it's free, accessible, non-, spontaneous); the power of it is palpable and the counter effects it stirs up are completely unsurprising to me.
(That should say 'non-heirarchical)

If you’d read this thread, you would have seen it confirmed it was a man. So your typing ‘?woman’ was deliberate, I guess.

Kellie saying that the security guard dealt with the man in question is not being gleeful.

The way people who hate KJK twist events, lie and blame her for men’s behaviour is awful. Such sisterhood 🙄.

I don't hate KJK, quite the opposite. That doesn't mean I can't find this situation uncomfortable. No-one is ever above criticism. No sacred castes or people for me.

Helleofabore · 19/03/2023 11:55

Considering that there was already one male (from the looks of pic without wig) and the two trans coloured shit and birthing act actors that infiltrated the women speaking crowd, it makes sense that their was probably others. And the men in black could easily be another ‘act’, hence I asked Mishy for proof (and none came!). Considering it is illegal to have display the swastika in Victoria, the only ‘evidence’ was the arm signal it seems.

Will we ever know?

Onnabugeisha · 19/03/2023 11:55

If you repeatedly find yourself in protests on the same side as neo-nazis, anti-abortionists, Islamaphobes and misogynists as KJK has- you really should be doing a bit of self-reflection and not taking smiling selfies and going on super friendly, back patting pod casts with them.

You can set your watch by the disparaging of Standing For Women and of KJKs appearance after a successful Let Women Speak event.

Once again WPUK put out an egotistical statement saying they 'distance themselves' from it. Bloody hell. We get it. Over and over and over again they have distanced themselves. I wish they'd get over it!

No-one is saying you can’t critique events 🙄. Drama much?!

Its the deliberate lying, twisting of events/words and sly digs that we find unpalatable.

Oh don’t worry, we see your guilt by association. It never quite addresses the reality at all.

And thanks for posting the shot of the person who aggressively forced their way behind the microphone and damaged the microphone after pretending to be a woman waiting to speak.

Great that you are highlighting the degree of effort these males go to when showing how they have zero respect for women and women’s spaces. Kudos.

FOJN · 19/03/2023 12:05

Once again WPUK put out an egotistical statement saying they 'distance themselves' from it.

Yet again using a woman they apparently hate to garner attention for themselves. Presumably they had to hand in their integrity to avoid being expelled from the Labour party.

Again, did you actually read where they said, themselves, that they disagree with KJK? 🤣

Perhaps they're lying and they do campaign for women's rights, privacy and boundaries, after all!!

Who knew!

I know, who are they talking to? You couldn't create more distance between them and KJK.

Onnabugeisha

You must have missed their public denunciation of KJK. They were there to silence women and start a fight with the TRA's.

Oops I didn't do any research again.

What the fanciful allegation on Twitter that they denounced KJK tweeted with zero evidence by a KJK acolyte Claire OT? Which makes no sense when you look at the actual events of that day? But makes a lot of sense in terms of a panic fuelled attempt to deny and spin after the mask slipped.

“On 18 March 2023, Sewell organized and attended a rally in Melbourne alongside 30 other neo-Nazis, including members of the NSN,[28] in support of British anti-transgender activist Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull, who spoke at the rally while visiting the city on her Australian and New Zealand tour. Sewell and other members of the NSN marched down Spring Street, displayed a banner that read "DESTROY PAEDO FREAKS", performed Nazi salutes on the stairs of Parliament House, and referred to transgender people as paedophiles. A counterprotest in support of transgender rights, attended by many students, transgender activists, and socialists, clashed with the group. While the police, including several mounted officers, attempted to separate the two groups, there were some interactions (many of which were violent), and it was reported that pepper spray was used at least once.[29] The events were condemned by the Labor Party,[30] the Liberal Party[31] (although Liberal MP Moira Deeming who has a track record of transphobic views[32] was present at the rally)[33] and the Greens.[34]”

Why have you posted a picture of the violent male who tried to grab the mic?

It's very odd, WPUK were never about women they joined the fight in an attempt to long term recruit and train for the left and retain them once this fight is complete.

Who were the groups?

SFW, KJK
Antifa?
Trans Activists
Neo Nazis?
Media
Police
Christians?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 19/03/2023 12:13

WPUK can fuck off with that pompous statement.

So the male security guard has grabbed the person around the jaw in the footage I have seen. Still looks aggressive to my eyes, but then I am not trained in subduing a person during a potentially very violent situation.

Do you have advice on how the security guard should have dealt with this person? Have you been trained in subduing a potentially violent person during an act that is at the very least aggressive, but still can be considered violent due to the forcefulness of the act? What is the procedure?

Please tell us because if they acted outside the laws and the rules of accreditation that security firms in Victoria need to follow, then I will happily write a letter of complaint and tell Standing for Women in Vic to never use them again.

Because hellofabore linked it upthread. If she can post a picture, with her comments, why can’t I post the same picture with my comments?

here’s a couple more photos btw

AlisonDonut · 19/03/2023 12:16

People who oppose women will use any smear tactics to shut them up.

Including getting the son of a policeman and their mates to dress up as nazis and walk next to them, in order for screenshots.

It really is tedious. Meanwhile the women still try to speak.

Theeyeballsinthesky · 19/03/2023 12:17

Personally I’d be asking myself if I were on the same side as people who regularly issue death and rape threats on line and in person, who hold up signs saying “decapitaste TERFS”, who hound ppl out of their jobs for simply stating the law, who see nothing wrong with men waving their bare arses at babies, who have broken women’s bones playing sport & have said women should “enjoy your erasure” I’d be asking if I wasn’t on the side of the biggest misogynistic movement in history Ona but you know you do you…..

Because that poster is highlighting how males can enter women’s spaces using deceptive means and then act to harm women!

I thought that the poster was doing us a favour! Do you mean they are not?

Not sure what you think posting those pics are doing either. You seem to be missing the fact that the neo Nazi groups of Victoria don’t support women and no one seems to know who this group is. Australian media is now reporting one of them is a Victorian policeman’s son.

You really are doing us all sorts of favours today. Thank you.

Justjuniper · 19/03/2023 12:22

‘Wrong breeds decay and involves ruin, but the true and the good have about them a vitality which ages cannot diminish’.
This quote from Charles Spurgeon seems very apt when applied to the actions of those fighting to protect and stand up for women and girls against such appalling cruelty and lies - we’re definitely on the RSOH.

(accidentally posted on the Bunce thread, so re-posting here, thanks DameMaud 😊)

DameMaud · 19/03/2023 12:25

Yes. Very apt Juniper.
Great quote. The women speaking ooze vitality and light.

FOJN · 19/03/2023 12:26

Onnabugeisha

Thanks for the photos we've all already seen. What did you think they provided evidence of? I haven't seen anyone claim the neo Nazis didn't attempt to hijack the event.

Bizarrely the people who want to smear KJK with guilt by association are giving the neo Nazis lots of publicity. Is this an attempt to use the event as a recruitment drive for them? There were only about 15 of them after all. Maybe the small number made the police think they weren't a threat and that's why the police handwaved them through to the parliament steps to make their nazi salutes.

Here's what the neo Nazis said about the LWS event.

Excellent. Now we are getting somewhere. It is a known group then and the police let this man and the group past?

Why?

Why did the police allow them to be close to the women speaking or even anywhere near trans people?
