They just can't help themselves can they, AF4WR managed to do it with class.

I completely agree. They just let themselves down. I'm genuinely a little embarrassed on their behalf.

I'm sure everyone's seen this (I'm a little behind), but, by God, this woman nailed it.

She starts off tentatively, but by the end she's a roaring lioness. It's only a few minutes if you haven't seen it.

She was quite incredible. I was ready to woman the barricades by the time she'd finished.

The Australian accent seems to lend more power to the word fuck too.

I'm so over WPUK. It's like they jump on any chance to demean KJK and everything she has done and it's getting sad and pathetic.

"Women are not responsible for the actions of men" except for Kellie-Jay, everything men do is always her fault

Hell yeah 😁.

She's a gifted speaker. (And writer, presumably).

Daniel Andrews says Nazis ‘aren’t welcome’ as Victorian government considers ‘further action’ following salutes
Comments follow protests in which anti-transgender activists performed Nazi salutes on the steps of the Victorian state parliament

From the article:

Anti-transgender activists clashed with pro-transgender rights activists outside state parliament on Saturday after an event held by controversial UK gender activist Kellie-Jay Keen. A group of men from the Nationalist Socialist Movement marched along Spring Street, repeatedly performing the Nazi salute.

Victoria police said they made three arrests over the protests, which it said involved at least six groups. A 22-year-old man was arrested for allegedly putting a female officer in a headlock, and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly slapping a police officer on the neck. Neither police officer was injured.

The third person was arrested for unlawful assault. Police said they will review CCTV, body-worn camera and social media footage to determine if further offences occurred.

Police said some of the groups failed to engage with police in the lead-up to the protest, or altered their plans without notice, resulting in the “potential for multiple clashes between the opposing groups”.

“Consequently, officers were required to form many lines between the different groups to protect the safety of all involved, stop breaches of the peace and prevent any physical violence,” police said in the statement.

Pressed on the attendance of first-term Liberal MP Moira Deeming at the anti-transgender event, Southwick said “her views are not my views”.

“We’ll have discussions with Moira,” he said.

Deeming – who spoke against gender affirmation practices for transgender people in parliament last month – spoke at the Let Women Speak event that was led by Keen, who is touring Australia.

blah blah some more stuff

And as usual SfW / KJK is anti-trans but also now a gender activist.
No. We are women, we are standing for women. We are pro women. Not non-men, non-trans, other. Muppets.

Also, nice to see Daniel Andrews recognises the threat that the Nationalist Socialist Movement posed to TRAs (who were also there with intimidation and threats in mind) but not to the women who were there legally and peacefully talking about the loss of our rights and private spaces.

Re Police said some of the groups failed to engage with police in the lead-up to the protest, or altered their plans without notice, resulting in the “potential for multiple clashes between the opposing groups”.

If the TRA protesters are actually found to be one of the groups mentioned above, it will be interesting to see if they get sanctioned in any way.

The Australian Jewish Association has put out a statement condemning nazis for hijacking a women's event.

That thread is worth a read.

So many people tweeting that the Nazi's were a false flag, possibly paid but certainly facilitated by the police who should not have allowed them to march.

It's kind of the AJA to defend women, it must be shocking for them to see this happening on the streets of their own country regardless of whether the Nazis were real or LARPers intent on causing disruption.

Signalbox · 19/03/2023 08:44

Interesting from an observer and political commentator
@ therealrukshan

Victoria Police stand between two groups that have come to hijack the #letwomenspeak women’s rights rally in front of Parliament House in Melbourne. The agitators from extreme opposing ideological sides were locked in a stand-off for about 1 hour while guarded by police. At one point the police facilitated the group of men clad in black throwing sieg hall salutes to drift towards the women’s right rally to hold a banner and make gestures to everyone from the steps of Parliament. They were then given a protective police guard when moving out of the Parliament precinct in front of another pro trans rights counter-protest that was trying to drown out the women’s rights protest.

In the chaos of multiple protests and counter protests many media and political pundits have taken the opportunity to infer a direct link between the women's rights group and the men clad in black due to the proximity of the groups as well as a shared opposition to other counter protesters. However having been able to observe what happened first hand it was obvious that both groups agitating had no respect for the women's rights rally, and were mostly there for their own ideological battle and promotion.

This is incredible. I’m not normally a conspiracy theorist but this feels more and more like a set up.

Oh dear. Sounds like Moira is off to the gulag. Hmm

Obviously the 'Antifa' took their chance to take on actual Nazis when the opportunity presented itself, right?

I stayed up to watch and, my goodness, she was magnificent! I've watched again because yes, she starts quiet and falters but then the powerful voice breaks out and BOOM!

ZombieMumEB · 19/03/2023 09:40

Sadly I wasn't able to make it, due to transport issues.

The Victorian Premier, Dan Andrews, posted this on his facebook.

Very disappointing that he is lying about the women that attended, to have their voice heard. Though he is a politician - so to be expected!

So there was the extreme trans rights activists, Antifa, the extreme Christian group, the alleged men in black neo nazi, women speaking - who was the sixth group?

FOJN · 19/03/2023 09:51

I've been looking at the SFW twitter feed this morning and some very strange things seem to have happened at the Melbourne rally.

Women are tweeting that they couldn't get close to the speakers because the police told them they were worried the TRA's would break through the barriers and they couldn't guarantee their safety and yet the arseholes doing Nazi salutes managed to get onto the parliament steps behind the LWS event.

How did that happen?

Datun · 19/03/2023 10:05

This is going to be interesting.

It seems that many people can clearly see these neo nazis as having their own agenda and hijacking posie's event to promote it. And they can see exactly who is, and who isn't, lying about it in order to deliberately discredit her. Or virtue signal.

The duplicity is getting exposed and will be fairly obvious, fairly swiftly.

This is why SFW works. No-one can listen to these women's talking about their experiences and be in any doubt of their sincerity. They highlight a problem that is undeniable.

So you have Posie shining a light on the danger of trans ideology, from vulnerable women directly affected and clearly genuine. With TRAs, neo Nazis and all manner of violent men, outraged that women are indeed speaking, inflaming the entire event with their own fury, leading to massive and volatile publicity.

Which Posie will capitalise on, however long it takes.

It's unsurprising that she engenders such loyalty in her support, to be honest.

Unfortunately, I’m not surprised by this. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to attend but I might in Canberra on Thursday.

This is becoming a common refrain.

People will be noticing that law enforcement are saying they simply can't be expected to protect women and children from violent men promoting gender ideology.

And yes, letting the Nazis through tho. Maybe they're even more frightened of them??

Ffs.

Helleofabore · 19/03/2023 10:32

MishyJDI · 18/03/2023 10:35

I think this is a far challenge

And yet, you Mishy have not denounced the activist who forceably took over the microphone while a woman was speaking and then ended up (from reports I have seen) damaging the microphone. That person sought to silence women through force and intimidation.

And you hold this person up as a distraction. I hope they were ok. If they were abused, they shouldn’t have been. However, they forced their time on the mic. They could have waited and if they were female (despite reports they were not), they could have talked and dealt with the crowd response. If they were male, then they just demonstrated how some males cannot respect women’s boundaries.

So, this incident very much highlights the issues at hand. And thank you again for being true to form in not being able to process how people who can critically think though this will interpret these actions.

Are you denouncing them?

Are you denouncing the extreme trans activists who reportedly were punching the police horses ?

Anything from you Mishy? No? No answers to why you feel it is appropriate to speak for any Australian group either as you have done now on numerous threads?

Crack on Mishy, doing what you are doing. It merely shows how bereft the group you seem to support are of respect, facts and ability to deal with being told ‘no’. You seem to think you speak for trans people, just as you seem to think you speak for or add an Australian perspective. Why? When the way you seem to support trans people ends up showing a group of extremists who are violent towards women, have no ability to think past mantras and cannot even listen long enough to what a woman is saying to understand her point, and who then repeat the falsities being spread without checking original sources.

Please do keep doing it because it means readers get a greater understanding of trans activism at the extreme end.

Daniel Andrews and Adam bandt have both tweeted something anti nazi implying the women speaking were with the nazi supporters. They can fuck off.

Astralitzia · 19/03/2023 10:44

Regardless of context, I am deeply uncomfortable with anyone celebrating a woman(?) being forcibly grabbed around the throat by a man. That's not good security, that's just thuggishness.
