A woman has been found guilty of raping two women when she was a man. Happened in Scotland. She hasn’t been sentenced yet - but where will she serve her sentence? In the womens prison?!
This is going to mean some serious discussions and tough times for the Scottish government. But it was surely only a matter of time before something like this happened.

Hope you’re being ironic because trans women are not women. Never were, never will be. You can’t change sex.

It makes no practical difference whatsoever if a male is or is not a TW during an assault.

I think it makes all the difference in the world if you’re a natal woman forced to share a cell with a TW and then raped by them.

My point was that being assaulted by a male does not change in the awfulness of the experience for the woman being assaulted according to the inner feels and personal choice of identity of the male doing the assaulting.

It makes no odds whether or not the assaulting male sincerely feels a gender or not. Which makes it ridiculous for politicians to be pontificating about whether sincerely identifying TW sex offenders are less of a danger and stress to women prisoners than potentially insincere ones.

The women would just like not to be raped. And worrying about the inner feelings of the men should not be the central focus when talking about dangers to women of that male carrying out life wrecking assault and injury on her.

Yes, I agree but I think there is a spin that it is only ever predatory men, never men who would like to be women, who commit sex crimes (even though this is not true).
Any discussion has to include this though or it will be shut down with “section 28” objections so that is why politicians must do it.

They are allowed though to say that some predatory men might pretend to fit the category of gender reassignment in order to be imprisoned with women instead of men. And it is true this happens.

Even though, even if you take this man's lies as truthful, he was most definitely in agreement he was a man at the time of the crimes?

I had an off the record conversation with a Labour MSP who said that if a TW was perceived as male by women in prison when naked (& still be-penised), this showed how much we still need to do in society to dismantle bigotry. This is the context of GRR.
