love her, or hate her, we need her…and not a moment too soon.

I have done many times. You all dismiss it. Just google there are articles written about it.

SinnerBoy · 24/12/2022 14:40

I'm new here and haven't seen anything on it by you.

beastlyslumber · 24/12/2022 14:45

Don't worry, sinner. AV is known for their lies on this subject. There's no evidence. It's like JKR's transphobia or the loch ness monster.

SinnerBoy · 24/12/2022 14:52

Well, my next response was going to be, if you can't back it up, you made it up.

beastlyslumber · 24/12/2022 14:58

Ooh I like that. If you can't back it up, you made it up. Perfect!

As this thread is so regularly bumped, here's KJK herself talking about "guilt by association" & the reality of many of the allegations made against her. It's a good listen (& always worth listening to the woman herself rather than her haters). :

savageminds.substack.com/p/kellie-jay-keen-and-heather-brunskell#details

That's an excellent listen, thanks!

Helleofabore · 24/12/2022 15:21

Didn’t we see just that? making it up? where Antelope told us a great story about Hong Kong boarding schools and where she, KJK, met her husband.

And no, Antelope, you have not posted one shred of convincing evidence to back up your seemingly very personal and hostile feelings towards Kellie Jay Keen. It seems she said something mean to you and you have been on a hate campaign ever since. Instead of just ignoring her and her actions, you are on probably every thread. And you even took two threads to admit that women protesting with her were experiencing violence from extreme activists. Despite being asked directly repeatedly .

That is your level of engagement with these threads.

I'm new here and haven't seen anything on it by you.

That poster has a personal gripe against Posie Parker. God knows why.

They said they had 'seen evidence' - the horror! that Posie had gone to a private boarding school in Hong Kong financed by her grandparents.

Posie doesn't tend to spend time refuting any of this nonsense, but she couldn't help snorting at that, given her grandparents live on a council estate.

I'd put it all down to envy, but I struggle to think anyone would be so open about it.

SinnerBoy · 24/12/2022 16:10

I suppose Ant may be working on the basis of: "If I repeat this over and over again, some people will believe it."

LangClegsInSpace · 24/12/2022 16:12

I never heard the Hong Kong boarding school story before. That's hilarious!

It was KJK's epic rant that a mumsnetter posted in 2018 that started me on the path to terfdom

TRAs hate her because she is effective and tells it like it is, no be kind or mangling of language.

I think perhaps some of the academic feminists look down their noses at her because she hasn't studied like them, but just gets on and gets things done and has a reach that they don't.

And my God, wasn't she right with her billboards a few years back and saying how important it was to protect the meaning of the word woman

So - if agreeing/supporting an individual like Posie isn't acceptable because she has some things in common with people who have affiliations we're uncomfortable with then please, please introduce us to the alternative person who is as unapologetic, ballsy and brave as she is and also politically flawless and will say and do what it takes to fight for women, kids.

I don't expect an immediate response - I have mince pies and fizz on the go so all is good - but before the end of the night would be good.

I'm new here and haven't seen anything on it by you.

Here’s what WPUK has on the subject of Posie Parker and Religious Right collaborations. It has references for further reading/evidence and you can always do more research yourself. I have:

Women and the Religious Right in the USA: Jayne Egerton 2nd July 2022

Woman’s Place and Kellie-Jay Keen (aka Posie Parker) 22nd June 2022

MrsOvertonsWindow · 24/12/2022 22:01

Here's KJK's adult & nuanced discussion about the rift among feminists seeking to denigrate right-wing women, free speech and the myth of left-wing compassion with Julian Vigo & Heather Brunskell Evans.

Trigger warning - it's well worth a listen if you're mature enough to cope with those who have views that may differ from yours 😉

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 24/12/2022 23:10

Thanks both I'll look at those.

SinnerBoy · 25/12/2022 08:16

Onnabugeisha

Thanks, is she still onboard with them? There was no proof that she's a member of that group, just a statement that she is.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 25/12/2022 08:20

Very much looking forward to the film, @NancyDrawed

beastlyslumber · 25/12/2022 08:51

Other people also making baseless claims is not "evidence".

SinnerBoy · 25/12/2022 10:45

I haven't time to listen to 90 minutes of podcast, unfortunately! I'm doing Christmas dinner.

They decided to cut links and move on.

So why can't you?

Do you work for them as I noticed 2 things:

You refer to them as an answer to everything [including them being your own political party]

and

What have they actually ever done? Has anyone outside of their own bubble even heard of them?

Their first statement is 'women's rights to self organise' and yet...they have you pulling down a woman who self organises.

I've been to their meetings and at one of theirs, I brought up why people have forgotten about safeguarding risk assessments [@NancyDrawed was there if I remember correctly if it is the same Nancy] and their panel dismissed it as a waste of time - just a back covering exercise. I lost faith in their ability after that.

NancyDrawed · 25/12/2022 11:57

@AlisonDonut

Yes, I was there and you kindly showed me and a friend who had also attended where the bar to meet after the event was as we didn't know!

I never heard anything back from WPUK despite having given my details at that event in view of organising local groups iirc.

I went to Posie's event in Nottingham early this year, but haven't the energy or freedom to go to others around the country, I really don't know how she does it. Love her or loathe her (I think she's great) she gets things done.

Deeds not words.

AlisonDonut · 25/12/2022 12:40

Come to think of it I never heard anything back either.

Hope you are well :)
