At some point after 2pm, in the Big Room (the Chamber).

www.parliament.scot/chamber-and-committees/whats-on-and-watch-live/whats-on#wm

Will be interesting to see how the Amendments go down, if they are all struck down as the ScotGov wishes - www.holyrood.com/news/view,gender-recognition-reform-crunch-vote-after-shona-robison-warns-msps-over-amendments

'the Scottish Conservatives have warned that the debate could lead to a "travesty of democracy" because a 15 minute time limit for each proposal will "shut down" discussion.'

Also you are a bigot for even thinking those thoughts, Count

Here's MC defending rapists' rights to change sex:

Checking in for thread following purposes.

We need Malcolm Tucker levels of swearyness to sum up events so far.

ArabellaScott · 20/12/2022 18:20

Sorry, I'm missing chunks as cooking.

Discussion of risk, police reports, sex offenders, etc.

MC talked about Human Rights.

As a female she is making herself a 2nd class citizen in Scotland.

Total eejit.

She really is thick as mince. Dangerously so.

Birdsweepsin · 20/12/2022 18:21

I'm actually heartened by these conversations.

With the VERY notable exception of Chapman, everyone is on roughly the same page. Even Robison accepts the premise, although her answers have to please the angry TRA sharks.

Birdsweepsin · 20/12/2022 18:30

While it's all quiet, I'm just pondering whether the 'shame on all of you' were TRAs angry that MPsPs seem to be very aware of the safeguarding dangers that might result, or GC women angry that we are even here in the first place.

TiddlesTheTiger · 20/12/2022 18:30

What is the matter with those people???

TiddlesTheTiger · 20/12/2022 18:32

I'd guess GC.

yourhairiswinterfire · 20/12/2022 18:33

Fancy caping for sex offenders. Feeling more compassion for rapists and pedos than for women and girls 🤮

These people are sick in the head.

BlessedKali · 20/12/2022 18:34

Unbelievable
. So many fantastic arguments as to why and how predatory men will abuse an easier GRC application, and the only arguments seem to be ' TRANS PEOPLE DO NOT = SEX OFFENDERS' (Although no one said that) and 'but what about the human rights of the sex offender'.

Astonished that WOMENS human right to safety is secondary to a sex offender with a fetish.

BlessedKali · 20/12/2022 18:35

How can 61 people have voted to rpotect sex offenders but not protect women & girls

TiddlesTheTiger · 20/12/2022 18:40

I'd be shouting a lot more than Shame. I'm furious about that.

Whereareyourshoes · 20/12/2022 18:40

They bring shame on the whole Scottish Parliament.

ArabellaScott · 20/12/2022 18:41

Seems to be taking a fair amount of time to clear the troublesome women who do make such a fuss when laws protecting rapists are passed.

Not just protecting rapists but making it easier for them to target new victims.
