I can't see a thread on this, but she is starting a new party and will run in elections.

Two definitions of cause I could find are "a socially valuable principle that is strongly supported by some people" or "a principle, aim, or movement that, because of a deep commitment, one is prepared to defend or advocate"

It's indisputable that KJK does have a cause - advocating the principle that biological sex exists and matters.

It's not a cause, it's real evidenced fact.

You mentioned cause, you tell me what this cause is.

The major problem, as I am sure has been pointed out, is that he has shared platforms with pretty unpleasant people. If you're Joanne Bloggs, that's ok, but as Jerermy Corbyn found out, if you're a politician, you're getting to get attacked for those associations.

Exactly and that’s just one of several issues which will come out under scrutiny.
I think it’s going to go the same way as it did for her neighbour, Carl Benjamin.

Truly KJK’s milkshake brings all the monomaniacs to the yard

if we admit she’s a bad lady because some bad men once stood near her, will you go away?

HappinessAlley · 08/12/2022 10:57

The point is that Keir Starmer has a huge majority (27,000) and it will only be bigger in the next election. In reality, she’ll go around handing out leaflets, maybe do an interview on local TV. They’ll do one hustings with a few hundred people in the room, and on election night, he’ll romp home with a 40,000 majority and she’ll be stood there like Count Binface (or whatever his name is) being lucky to get her deposit back.

indeed, happy to be proved wrong.

You see, it doesn't sound like that to me. Sounds like this is an attempt to undermind confidence. If you are happy to be proved wrong, why not simply wait and see, rather than snipe from the sidelines.

First, I doubt that KJK’s confidence will be shattered, by me, a random woman on the internet. Second, we can all have our views on what might happen. I know a little about British politics, and single issue parties that have links to extremists (whether intended or not) don’t tend to fare that well

So she may get humiliated in public

i’d say that’s her problem

you seem to be regarding it as your problem?

i do t think she’s trying to win. Her son is to get politicians to talk about this issue.

So pleased she doing it and can’t wait to see those billboards. Will she need money?

I don’t think she’s trying to win either. She’s trying to force discussion on subjects they want to sit firmly on the fence over. Let’s also talk about the migrant channel crossings too. Hell throw Brexit in as well.

Oh indeed - we can all snipe from the sidelines. The question really, is why would we want to do that?

I do love a good milkshake 😜

Expressing doubts or cheering on, both are valid reactions in a democratic society to the announcement of a public figure saying they are going to run for MP in the next GE.

The question really is, why are you invested in silencing opinions other than your own?

nilsmousehammer · 08/12/2022 11:32

I'd point out that she hasn't yet thrown anything at anyone, hit anyone, or unleashed a semi coherent rant of extremely doubtful mental health issues and rage with violent ideology expressed throughout.

I'd be more concerned about inferring support for people like that, than for a woman who once possibly stood too near the Wrong Sort (Hello Mrs Bucket, what are you doing here?) while saying terrible things like 'men should not be supported to rape and abuse women'.

nilsmousehammer · 08/12/2022 11:33

No one is 'silencing you'.

Trying to unpick your meaning, challenging you ,not agreeing with you? That's called debate.

If you were being silenced you'd be deleted. You will not find sealion applause for anything you say here. This is actual women doing actual discussion while very concerned about the rights and safety of women.

TinselAngel · 08/12/2022 11:42

She'll be stood there behind potentially the new PM, on national TV with her Adult HF merch on. It'll be brilliant.

I'm really not interested in silencing opinions. I'm asking questions. I suppose I keep asking them because the answers have not yet satisfied my curiosity.

Have a watch of her Adrian Harrop interview.

The votes are by the by - the media will widdle themselves with excitement at the prospect of her doing the same to KS.

And if the hustings are surrounded by the usual masked Black Pampers, spitting vitriol and threatening violence, the sunlight will be literally priceless.

JoodyBlue · 08/12/2022 11:47

@nilsmousehammer I hadn't understood what "sealioning" is before. I do now, with that example. Thanks.

ScribblingPixie · 08/12/2022 11:51

She sticks her neck out where others wring their hands

This

HappinessAlley · 08/12/2022 11:57

Yes, on this thread, I think you’re sealioning.

I really don’t think this thread is too complicated. Some women think that by taking funding from the far right and appearing on platforms with people who oppose large swathes of modern feminism, that makes KJK a bad advocate. Others disagree. But it’s not confusing why people would take that first position.

Evidence of the funding from the far right or withdraw your remarks, please.

What questions? You’ve asked why are some women “sniping from the sidelines” and you’ve accused another poster of “undermining confidence”

The one question you asked was rhetorical and just a vehicle to accuse a poster of sniping- designed to shame & silence. The other was just an bald accusation of undermining confidence & also designed to shame & silence.

You have zero curiosity and zero interest in any real discourse on KJKs chances of election.

JoodyBlue · 08/12/2022 12:05

She might appear a bad advocate for modern feminism. Although, I would disagree. But then she doesn't claim to be associated with modern feminism. She is a single issue campaigner. I no longer claim to be associated with modern feminism either. Give me the "non fun" kind any day.

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 08/12/2022 12:07

do you think you could keep the outright fucking lying to a bare minimum @HappinessAlley ? That would be super

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 08/12/2022 12:09

well this is true @Onnabugeisha because she isn’t trying to get elected. That’s not the object of the exercise

go on then, explain your issues. Is it something something far right something?
