Yeah I confess I've found KJK "distasteful" on occasion in the past. But she's done a million things more for women's rights than I ever have. And she speaks clearly, in plain English, making her accessible in a way politicians and academics should be, but aren't.
This issue was never supposed to be a problem. It was supposed to quietly stealth in, as more and more organisations adopted Stonewall law without consultation. Politicians still seem to think any problems might magically go away. What activists and politicians hadn't banked on is that there continues to be a proportion of males intent on making use of Stonewall law to behave in rather gender-conforming ways, to the extreme detriment of women. And while that continues to happen, a growing group of women are being rather gender-non-conforming, like KJK, by saying NO.
I actually think she's doing the main parties a favour. We know the issue won't go away. KJK will help politicians realise that. It's up to them if they want to do something with that information (and obviously I hope Labour realises and I hope it's before the GE but I know that's probably unlikely). I think it will ultimately benefit any politicians who do face this issue.
