To feel incredibly sorry for Eddie Izzard

I don't want to pity Eddie but I felt a wave of sadness after reading that Rosie Duffield (MP) said she would rather be arrested than refer to Eddie as a woman.

Eddie doesn’t refer to themselves as a woman when they want to get male acting roles or run marathons. So Eddie can do one. They’re not a woman.

I used to adore him! “These aren’t women’s clothes, they’re my clothes!” He was able to express himself without pissing all over women. But now he’s as bad as all the other AGP’s. Trans issues are a hill I’m willing to die on.

I would rather be arrested too. I imagine lots of others would too. The cells would be fit to bursting with a queue of women in police cars up the road if what you’re talking about was actually crime.

What are you sad about? Eddie isn’t a woman - why do you think it’s sad to be honest and clear?

Eddie Izzard is not a woman. I don’t think Eddie Izzard even thinks he is a woman, he’s just using people like the OP to feed his very male ego. Why any female would play along with this is beyond me.

Eddie says she changes from girl mode to boy mode by taking off their heels. Eddie doesn’t need to engage with any of the problems women have (even those of us who, shocker, never wear heels).

Eddie does all her acting as a middle-aged man in boy mode and then all her stand up and politics in girl mode. Eddie isn’t a performer trying to deal with the lack of roles written for middle-aged women.

So I’m not sure what makes her actually a woman.
